The initial version contains new seasons, creatures, biomes, and many other exciting ways to die.

The quote and title already imply why I made this thread - So I can hear how and why you died. It's kind of a tradition that somebody makes a thread so people can share their weirdest, dumbest, most embarrassing and frustating deaths in Don't Starve with others. And this thread is no different!

I died on Day 2 because I thought that I could equip my torch even when I'm in a boat, since I can use my pickaxe etc. also in a boat. But I forgot that common sense and logic don't matter in a world in which jellyfish have faces and Wilsons reality warping hair exists, so I got killed by Charlie before I could touch land with my feet.

And how did you die? And did you already had the pleasure to get ripped apart by one of the new creatures?

I was doing okay.. Couldn't find any gold though.  Saw some fog, sailed into that, some kinda wormhole business happened.  Then I saw some triangle, went in that, some more kinda wormhole business happened.  Went in insane and just made it to shore with 2 terrorbeaks on my tail.  I had no armour, and got rinsed day 4 :p

Here we go again!!

Well, i'm kinda sad. Day 7/8 i think with woodie, on the sea, i've find somes nice island, avec some ' coconut- grenade ' in a chest. BUT i go on my ship, in the sea to reach my old island, and 2 RED FISHES attacked me.. had no way to dodge, or run ; even playing with waves to get out.. my boat was new, and got 3/4 hit.

Edit : mmmh.. woodie said 3 time before the attack ' i'm gonna need a bigger boat ' so i presume the red fishe are the hood of the sea, and if u are ( like me ) on a badbad boat ( the first ) ur gonna get totaly reckt. 8')

Out of twigs, out of torch , out of luck, and just when i found a good island to settle on, i even transferred some jungle turf from another island to plant some berry bushes and other plants. I also found the Fishbone in the 2nd attempt at survival. The most i managed to survive was 7 days, hopefully next time i'll make crafting a torch a priority and not get distracted and bump into Charlie again.

Almost died from lack of twigs. The island thing is VERY "inconvenient", you can't stay in one place too long because you will run out of resources and be trapped in there and die.

But I've had no problems with new mobs because my reaction to everything new is to NOPE away.

Maybe choosing Wickerbottom was a cheat? I've been able to craft nicer things with her. :)

Still alive at day 14-ish.  Storing things in chests has suddenly become a necessity.  Even in RoG, you could get away with stuff lying around on the ground, provided you had proper preventative measures (lightning rod, flingo-matic, no moleworms).  Random wind gusts starting rolling my stuff into the water!  Fortunately, I already had one chest and enough wood to whip up a second.  Think I only lost some fronds.

I'm on a decent island, with plenty of space for trees and such.  Though I might move house to the sand island across the very small strait.  There be crabs there... though I did just plant a few mussel sticks.  Hmm...

I have a ton of seashells, so I'm thinking an armored boat is next.

Edit:  Holy flaming rocks, I made it 30 days on my first try.  I died by a falling rock from the sky.

My first play through I died on night eight, but had a touch stone. No resources so I had to start farming again and I was doing well, but suddenly a snake fell from the trees and it was poisonous so I died slowly of poison because I couldn't figure out how to make it stop.

Second time, I tried to equip the lantern on a raft and I don't even know if you can or not and Charlie got me.

first death day 13, talikng to my gf:

"I just survive magma biome full of spiders, smallbirds and poison" and I didn't see the water coming up to my fire... Died by Charlie

Resurrect at the touch stone, cant find a flint to maxe an axe: starve to death on the island

Day 21. Damn, those sea-hounds are nasty, nasty things! If you hear Wilson complaining about needing a bigger boat, jump on shore. I'd rather deal with regular hounds any day of the week :p

Also nearly died to poison. Make sure you keep some anti-venom on hand! It doesn't wear off, and hence why I nearly died... I though it would naturally wear off.
