I know a lot of people are going to be happy about multiplayer but I'm probably never going to touch it. Still can't complain about a free update, but I'd rather have the developpers spend their time on another awsome expansion. Here's to hoping this addition will bring a ton of new players to the game and that Klei will make another expansion ! But I certainly don't understand the mob of whiners, that say its Klei's fault and are dissapointed in dev's team. You bought the DLC and got fine stuff added. And now they adding one more feature to the game, that can be used and can be ignored, as it won't affect the single game. And they are doing it for FREE. To spit in one's face for receiving a gift, now thats what I call shitty attitude. I'm just- i don't think my day can get better now I have SO MANY FRIENDS TO BUY THIS GAME FOR NOW! YESSS! Best form of advertising there is. I can tell that this is gonna split the community like an egg. People were upset simply over the idea of adding Pyro as a playable character. Good luck Klei. Let's just hope we don't have a civil war on our hands.Speaking of, can we also assume that Wyro is not 'just some guys side project that was abandoned'? This is pretty much collateral confirmation of Wyro, right? Here's an interesting thought - and maybe slightly heartening for those like me that wanted content EVERYONE could use, rather than just a portion of the community: With many players in the same world, and assuming that duplicate characters are not allowed, maybe now we will finally get individualized meat effigies for every character? So they know whose is whose? That would add a silver lining to this announcement for me at least... Boge Posted May 7, 2014 Share Posted May 7, 2014 Should call it "Don't Starve Alone" instead of Together. I'm stoked to hear this news. I love Don't Starve and had always thought it would be much more enjoyable with friends. The beauty of survival games multiplayer is that there really isn't a lot to balance. More people means more mouths to feed. It kind of balances itself. I'll be looking forward to this!
