If you are referring to the fact that after making your Chester either a Snow or Shadow Chester, he reverts back to normal Chester after being killed, I think that is intended. It says so on the wiki anyway. I'm assuming Kevin still writes the majority of the unique dialog strings for all of the characters. Unless he's passed the torch to someone else. I know just before adventure mode was finally fully fleshed out within the main game, Kevin worked all night and day to get Maxwell's lines finished. You could tell he was exhausted because some of those line were a tad bit off kilter in the beginning.
