Need Beefalo update

Beefalo don't really need an update though, they already provide so much for how little they require to be tamed. Reviving in particular would completely kill the main drawback of using a beefalo; if it dies then you're gonna be down at least 15 days in the best case scenario taming a new one.

Tbh i already think its weird you can pick up stuff from all the way up on a boof. The unwieldiness provides a bit of charm, kinda like horses from skyrim

I could do without them using the world as thier toilet late game tho, but its not the end of the world. Free fuel :shock:

Taming Beefalo has come a long way from its fairly abysmal state (speaking as someone who repeatedly tamed them throughout the entire time that the feature was available) and the addition of steamed twigs & beefalo treats pretty much completed them. I wouldn't be opposed to more saddles or something to combat enemies that knock you back/planar damage helpers, but beyond that I see no reason for them to be updated. they're like... pretty close to perfect.

but its a different thing if u need to clean up after someone else beefalo :wilsondisapproving:
i always find one or two people joining the world dragging their beefalo and just left poop everywhere (i told them to pick it up and they just replied with that pigman emote)

i never really complaint about one or two poop while dismounting my own beefalo since i pick it up right away, but finding poop everywhere cus someone else beefalo is annoying

i really wish klei make this beefalo come with diapers or something :-?

I do agree that beefalos are too strong but I would still want to be able to despawn it.

This could be added to bell, so that when you right click it beefalo would be returned to the bell (pokeball). It can use the same code that currently exists when you leave the server with the bell.

This shouldn't be possible when fighting to save beefalo in a pinch, maybe there can be animation and player can be interrupted.

keep beefalo bell in a backpack and drop said backpack when you need to

if you wanna despawn it cuz taming is tedious, just make a salt lick :D 

Personally, all I really just want is for beefalo domestication to not passively go down once 100% domesticated, since that’s still something that really bothers me, and a way to disable them passively producing manure (while still keeping it for those who need it). Otherwise, I think they are alright.

I would like new saddles, maybe a new domestication type and the ability to harvest bee boxes, but beefalos are already great

Playing with the Beefalo saddle mod where there are different saddles is fun.  The sun saddle give heat in the winter, lunar saddle cooling in the summer.  These are just 2 of the different saddles.   When the beefalo dies it can be revived using a heart or an amulet.  It's health is at 2hp.

This, for a multiplayer game where you can play with people you don't know, investing so much time on a beefalo just so a random can come and punch your beefalo and get it back to 0 taming is horrible, and that specifically is not some beefalo gameplay drawback because there is nothing you can do about it except "don't play with others". Which of course, is not ideal.

If a beefalo is attached to a bell, has more than 5% taming, said bell is in your pocket, and the beefalo is not in heat, no player should be able to force attack it. Not the one holding the bell, or any other.

Of course they can still get creative on blowing up your beefalo with gunpowder or lure dangerous things to it, and other shenanigans like that, but this change alone would solve 95% of the most common griefings related to beefalo taming.
Some character specific perks could work on a beefalo too, like Wigfrid's regen song, or Wortox soul hop-soul while mounting, or souls healing affecting the beef, but that's more like character QOL than beefalo changes. But if I had to change just one thing about beefalo, it would be correcting the punching beefalos issue. I'd 100% go back into public games and tame beefalos if they did that. Otherwise it's not worth it, the second you dismount your beefalo near a random they will axe it, purposefully or accidentally, and you will lose everything you did with it.
