Agreed. Past an alchemy machine there's no real reason to use flint tools anymore. Even the pitchfork has a gold version now

 

From what I see, the only reason to use flint is the occasional thermal stone, fishing lures (lol) and digamajigs, so yeah the roads are a godsend

idk how flint comes up it's the only material besides nightmare fuel I constantly run out of in long term worlds, once I start building roads.

first for me is the trash trifecta rot-poop-guano, I wish they all despawned after a while. Then glands and spiderhats, I try to destroy all spider eggs first few days if I play a world longer and even then the few eggs I keep generate too many of those. Then teeth if I don't turn off hounds, bear furs from klaus, desert stones (tho haven't played much since the antlion hat was added maybe not so much anymore for those)

triggers me that we have a mechanic that removes stumps and all the logs (one of yhe most used materials) arround them after some days but rot accumulates non stop without any mechanic to counter that

In my bases we constantly have overflood of hounds teeth, blue gems (I am taking care to use red gems and get more bones c: ), sometimes stingers (if I go as Wendy farm wild honey), and... frazzled wires trinket/gold. Rot might too, but usually not that bad. The worst are teeth. 

Rot. I'm constantly farming crops and getting food from various sources, I never use all of it, it spoils, and repeat. I can't be bothered to bundle lots of ingredients so it's a vicious cycle. Everything in my saltboxes and iceboxes are always half spoiled. 

On the bright side rot, poop and guano can be burned instantly and by many stacks at once, to avoid flooding more chests. On the bad side, picking them up across the world can get annoying in long term worlds.

In my long term worlds it’s usually:

- hound teeth, (tooth traps are never used in long term worlds, and the amounts spawned by hound waves are much more than the amounts used for sewing kits)
- spider glands (there are better healing methods in the late game)
blue gems (unless there is a hard working Winona, those stockpile by hundreds)
- Half used flint tools and low % armor
