Why can't we have an actual Metal boat as an upgrade to the normal boat? :(((

it has like 5m ratio, i dont think it can be compared to a cube of metal

It depends on the thickness of the boat, and also I don't think the survivors have the tools or the knowledge to make that kind of boats, although to be fair they could made it whit ancient knowledge or magic.

That is simply not true.

someone missed physic class?

winona and wilson could do something if wanted, if they are able to make a fridge without needing any electricity... xD

You sure must have. You are literally showing a diagram that demonstrates the dst rafts would sink and acting like they would float because boats that look nothing like them float lol.

oh i though you were dimissing the whole floating physic

true, metal rafts would sink cuz not moving that much water

I remember back in 2014 I asked my high school science teacher "Mr. Delfron, if the rafts in the hot hit videogame Don't Starve Together were made of metal could they float?" and he quoted the 8th law of thermodynamics to me: "an object that is the raft from the hot hit videogame Don't Starve Together can never float if it is made of metal. Metal is too heavy.".

must be a really good science teacher if he has a time machine to visit 2019

I mean, why not. Nothing we can put on the boat makes sense as far as physics goes anyways. Also the masts work in every direction for some reason, so as far as I know the masts run on magical wind that's everywhere all at once.

Aside Gold and maybe Thulecite (whatever that actually is), we don't have any metal material or alloys in DST. But in principle, as a more robust type of raft, sure, would be a nice addition to the game.
