Any suggestions? I like boss fights, would you rather they do a bunch of qol updates and by done with the game? 

And yes more biomes would be fun but game is kinda old at this point, if they ever plan to add another thematic i hope it comes in the form of DST 2 so things like the shard system arent an issue.

Yeah I have plenty of ideas…

#1 new ways newly created worlds can be “generated” such as broken up into shipwrecked style archipelagos, more randomized, etc..

#2 redesign old and highly outdated biomes with a mix of *new* and already existing content that’s been added throughout the years. (Seriously WHY doesn’t the Oasis have MoonQuay sand & Palmtrees by now?)

#3 Add more islands out at sea with their own weather effects & mob types something along the lines of shipwrecked volcano/magmatic biomes (they can even use the Dfly magma ponds here..) Complete with new weapons, resources and cool gear that can be obtained from traversing the unique biomes of each island (or literally just go play Atlas or the Survivalists and you’ll instantly understand what I’m talking about)

#4 add some under the water “mob spawners” that spawn unique ocean-life such as Jellyfish, Swordfish, Manta etc.. Or already existing mobs like the lobsters, and Skittersquid.

all of the above is meant to target general map exploration and stuff to do that does not involve fighting a raid boss designed to be fought by multiple players.

but there are OTHER things Klei can do with DST too, such as now that we have a fully functional deck of Baltaro cards: Give those cards unique in-game boons or curses (play literally any RogueLite deck collecting battle game) in my head I’m picturing something like hamlets temples, you go in you explore, you open chests and obtain cards, basically- “Book of Demons” or “Hellcard” style Gameplay.

Every update has been centered around a boss or a silly event… meanwhile I’m looking at previous updates like last years winters feast where we could roll snowballs across the ground & throw them and I’m thinking to myself.. now why the heck isn’t there a borderlands 2 style yeti in this game that roles snow and yeet’d it at us or change it from snow to mud.. and you could give muddy biomes cool stuff like that too.

instead: we keep getting updates centered largely on one large scale boss fight after boss fight, after boss fight..

I have a really weird question, like I was messing around on my Xbox last night and I found a section labeled “Xbox Play Anywhere”

Now what this means for anyone who is not aware, it means that you buy a game Once and can play that game across all devices that are capable of running that along with any DLC content, cosmetics etc you have purchased for the game at no extra cost.

Whats more interesting is that Don’t Starve (sadly not DST just DS..) is listed as one of these play anywhere titles.

What this means is that I can play DS+ It’s DLC on my Xbox console, on a PC, on my IPhone or my Smart TV.. right??

So basically: Any device that can run the Xbox Play Anywhere App, is capable of playing Dont Starve.

So If this is true, does this mean I can now play DS Hamlet from my IPhone With Xbox Play Anywhere?

reason why I’m asking is because I own the DS Pocket Edition iPhone app and also the DS SW PE, but there is still no official DS Hamlet PE.

Im just wondering if I can now play Hamlet from iPhone with XPA (Xbox Play Anywhere)

This is exciting but…
Does this also mean that I can buy the PC Version of DS and stream it to my Xbox/Iphone and get to enjoy PC exclusive features like Mods?

And finally: If DST was to be added to XPA would I be able to play it from my Xbox, IPhone, Smart TV etc???

I think they don't know how to do anything except add skill trees or new bosses.

“Surely this is a wild exaggeration,” I think to myself, and then pull up the wiki (https://dontstarve.wiki.gg/wiki/From_Beyond), which informs me that the last time we got a big (Jimbo, the COTL crossover, and Years of X don’t count) update to the main game that didn’t include either of those things was  Terrors Below, which was released nearly two years ago. Unless you count the Hallowed Nights update that added the void masks and the new play, at which point the definition of “big update” starts getting fuzzy…

Anyway, doomerism aside, came to ask whether the part of the wiki that says that DST Wolfgang has 75% hunger drain when wimpy is still accurate. I don’t see anything mentioning it in the section on the wimpy form’s effects, which is the sort of thing that happens sometimes when one part of a wiki page is out of date, and I could’ve sworn I heard that none of the forms influenced hunger drain anymore, but I’m also too lazy to test this for myself.

Yeah and that update was the first that's happened in a long time. If you keep looking behind that update it's more of the same where everything is skill trees or bosses, with a single random thing every once in awhile. I don't know if the new team doesn't understand anything other than adding bosses & skill trees, or it's just really difficult for them to think of ways to add content to the game, or they think bosses is all people want to see, or what. But there's definitely a trend of them basically only adding skill trees & bosses. 

Shouldn't the lure plant on Pearl's island spawn eye plants? If no then why do we get friendship points from destroying it even though it just exists there, it would make more sense if it spawned eye plants and ate Pearl's bees so she would be thankful for us removing it. Also I'm pretty sure that turf isn't commonly used in builds and people usually put lure plants on boats so this change won't have a negative effect on megabasers

eyeplants can't spawn on Shell Beach Turf nor Moon Crater Turf so it wouldn't spawn any unless you mess with the turfs.

they said in a stream that they wanted to add more to the early and midgame, and that they wanted to finish with the content arc as soon as possible (paraphrasing-ish) so i think we can expect more survival/fun changes after theyre done

Hello , I'm playing a endgame world with my buddy. We have gotten 2 Spark Arcs so far and killed all 3 enemies that Wagstaff requires to give the Spark Arc. But for some reason the last 2 Possessed Vargs we have killed Wagstaff has not appeared and dropped of more Spark Arcs !?

Am I doing something wrong? I thought once you killed all 3 types that you automatically got a Spark Arc anytime you kill a Possessed Varg or Deerclops or Bearger. What gives ? Anybody got any ideas as to why?

iirc you still need to kill them in order, 1 of each to repeat the cycle, for the first spark you need 3 kills but after that  each kill gives you a spark as long as its in order

Ok , I coulda sworn you got one anytime after a kill as long as you killed the first 3 types. Well , hopefully a bearger will spawn soon as it just turned Fall in my world. Thanks
