Mike23Ua Posted June 25 Share Posted June 25 Okay now I’m just confused.. why does the healing salve heal for 20 hp, but the Slimy Salve heals for the SAME 20 hp but requires the original Healing Salve in its crafting Recipe + Marble, Slurtle Slime, & Nitre? the only other benefits the more expensive healing item grants is half a day immunity to Acid Rain, a very late game Shadow Rift enabled weather hazard, yet the recipe to craft this healing item can be unlocked as early as an Alchemy Engine.. You would THINK that the Slimy Salve would have better benefits, such as healing for 30 hp or stacking higher then the default health salve to like 60 or 80, I mean it does pacify Slurtles and Snurtles so I guess it has that early game going for it but ultimately it’s a more expensive early game healing item that’s intended for late game use. (With new boat shapes mod so board space isn't a problem) Wurt is probably good due to her ability to eat kelp without any sanity loss, but I'm also thinking Wormwood could be an underrated pick if you hunt some grassgators and craft some lureplants or utilise mushroom planters (if they can be placed on boats). Walter is probably good at hunting sharks and such. Wicker obviously can summon fish. I'm not sure but I think spiders don't respawn from dens that are placed on boats and this might be true for most spawners like pig houses. If it isn't then I guess Webber would be pretty good. Other than that though, I don't know who else can provide you with enough food I always default to Wilson for ocean survival challenges, all of his skills make a genuine impact on the ocean especially his alchemy skills. Being able to do things such as turn rocks into flint and logs into twigs is a pretty big deal and will ensure you will be able to have access to those resources that would otherwise be extremely scarce. People are asking him to re-list the videos because they were useful to learn the game, regardless of the run's validity. I agree with the re-listing of the videos, it was fun watching what is possible even if it wasn't speedrun-valid.
