Why vegans are more aggressive in the game than meat-eaters? 

We have merms and rabbits as vegan society representatives. Rabbits will kill you if you have meat in inventory. Merms will kill you if you come close. Absolutely hostile aborigens.

Pigs, Pearl and Sharboy eat meat. Pigs will only become hostile if you attack them or unders the moon curse. Pearl is always pieceful. Sharkboy fights for fish-resources - all these is reasonable.

 

I'm not a vegan, and It doesn't bother me in any way, just want to know if there's some hidden sense  or joke behind it.

(I mean, hippos and rhinos are herbivores. Such animals tend towards being very territorial.)

Merms give a warning, at least. Monkey pirates are also vegan.

Pigs will kill Webber or Wortox on sight. Krampii have commented-out code that suggests they're strict carnivores. We'll assume the civilized crows still eat meat.

spiders, tallbirds and mooslings and bearger are hostile and eat meat. rabbits, butterflies and beefalo do not eat meat

 

both sides can be very aggressive or rather passive. there is not a "more"

Yeah, but these aren't considered "sane", they don't have language / tools.

Because they fear the monsters, and besides vegans treat Webber and Wortox as monsters too, so we can't say it's only carnivores rasims towards Wortox or Webber.

What are Wortox's grabbers?
He refers to his mitts as hands and paws, and refers to his digits as fingers and claws.

This for me thinking about why call things fingers or toes. Or hand or foot or paw for that matter. We use the term 'hands' and 'fingers' for humans and to a lesser extent, other simians (monkey hand VS monkey paw). Foot seems to be a pretty general term used across many species and paw seems mostly limited to mammals. A nail becomes a claw when it is shaped a certain way I think.

Wortox is a an imp so he doesn't really fit neatly into any one category. I think his paws could be referred to either as hands or paws. Fingers/claws would be referencing a specific part of his paws. Wortox also likes to use flowery language, so it sort of makes sense to me that he wouldn't be consistent in what words he uses to describe himself.

I have many many questions I want to ask the devs of Klei’s DST. As I’m sure most of you are aware by now DST recently released on the PlayStation 5 (and has yet to be released on Series X/S or Switch 2)

But this PS5 upgrade seems to come with very very few actual improvements over the PS4 edition.

Right now as I type this I am playing a newly released Xbox Gamepass game titled “Winters Burrow” and this particular game while it claims to draw inspiration from Don’t Starve, actually seems to be more of a complete Ripoff of it.

But this little game is an Xbox Series X/S game, and it gives me vibes of DS Hamlet (maybe it’s the beetle bugs?) anyway.. This game takes full advantage of the tiny details I could only WISH that DST did, things such as: Seeing your footprints as you trek through snow, seeing your characters reflection in water ponds, stepping into said pond and splash ripples appear at your feet..

These are the types of details that “PS5 DST” should have…. So why doesn’t it?

Does don’t starve really seem like the type of game that should have these in? Footprints in snow could be cool considering beefalo leave them and could be used to help find deerclops and when she spawns off screen. But reflections in water I dunno man it seems like you just like graphics being good and buddy I get it gta 6 was delayed but don’t worry the graphics in that game will be exactly what your looking for!

I’ve put in 200+ hours in the ps5 version already and honestly, I’d rather they fix the bugs first. It is currently more unstable than the ps4 version of the game. Lots of crashes, stuff not working, extreme lag and most importantly, save data progress not saving.

The graphical improvements you mentioned would be a nice touch but we need a fully functioning game first. The haptics on the controller were actually very good but then it got annoying and obviously drained the battery fast so I’ve turned those off completely.

i dont think that matter cus all of tending and watering only give chance for other crops to bear better yield, while weeds doesnt change the pool at all

Since I do not feel like making an entire thread about this just to request one tiny little change to the game.

Can we get a new or updated “Frost” Hud Overlay?
 

I mean it’s alright as is.. but I would like an updated 2025 look, Resident Evil 8, Winters Borrow etc, just a cool freezing overlay that lets me accurately tell how cold I am based on how much ice is covering the screen. ❤️

Why people became so obsessed to change or remove mosaic biom?  I mean, despite personal desires, the overall increase of related threads might point out it's a high priority issue, but to me closing the plot arc, finishing skill trees, redesigning some mechanics like freezing, redesigning maps overall to make them more interesting has much more priority.

There’s a method that might help. A while ago, during a pirate raid, my piggyback was deleted after being left on the pirate ship. There’s a bug report mentioning this.

There’s also a Reddit post mentioning this, with the following explanation, but I’m not sure if it applies to backpacks:

Any items that despawn on a pirate sloop are added to the pirate stash. Theoretically. Practically, the pirate stash has a 20 item limit (not 20 stacks), so.. 

Yeah, there's only one pirate stash at a time. Excess items just get deleted.

Does the inimical gestalt truly exist? Ever since I've put on the hyper-enlightened crown I've only had to fight one after putting it on and have never seen a second one since. I also use the upgraded enlightened crown constantly and its been probably over an in-game year? I know they can spawn after putting three infused moon glass together, however I'm not sure what's the point of this besides using them in fights?

People are interested mainly I think because the mosaic can often leak into other biomes causing biomes where you are unable to build in them at all. This kinda dampers the experience on a sandbox for some, and for other obstructive biomes like the fumarole and lunar grotto they are in caves and at least give ways to somewhat prevent annoyance.

Also I feel like wanting something to be finished like skill trees is kinda hard since we've only gotten half the skill trees in two years. This is the same for endgame plot arc content as there is often only around 1 endgame update a year now. These updates take time for them and I assume they don't want to rush them out for people just to have them finished. Its also what they feel like updating as you could argue "ancient echoes" update has had the least impact to progressing the content arcs in DST but it was positively received it seems.

They've been reworked into oblivion, this is the only way they appear now to my knowledge.

Huh that's so bizarre. I didn't see their purpose in the first place, since they mainly existed to harass any players without an enlightened crown. They almost feel like an easter egg now, with the only way I can see players naturally finding them is when Celestial champ dies and if its infused moon glass lines up in a pattern that can summon it. At least its funny that this is the third way to turn three infused moon glass into a pure brilliance in the game.

You can drop one into the void in the caves with a spelunker's bridge. Would probably be easier than trying to get a pirate sloop to delete it.
