The main reason why we called the torch-bearer as the queen and the cane-bearer as the king is because of their different size. But it only the case with mammals, and in most arthropods and insects the female individual is stronger and larger than the male individual. If this is true of ancients, then we may have been rudely using the wrong gender names for them. It's pretty obvious from his quotes. Even before he got the 'I recognize your arrogance, I possesed it myself' quote he still had the 'You will fall as we did' and 'My city... in tatters..' which show that he was one of the rulers and... Cyclum as a name... is non-existent. It was only used for that one comic and nowhere else, whereas Metheus is used by both AF and in the Axiom Visus secret message. And in both cases it strongly suggests that Metheus is the name of the Ancient Torchbearer. I've mostly assumed it because it makes for good self-referential storytelling. Charlie is the queen, she has the torch, her story lines up with the old torchbearer's sacrifice for the king, who caused a catastrophe by overuse of the fuel by use of an object that seemed to control it, lining up with Maxwell, the king of modern times. The mirror seems to be the remaining shards of Metheus, corrupted by the powers it held and fought, left behind like all the other Ancients that lost their form, Fuelweaver included. (other than the stats emote) It’s a conspiracy, the least used is Confused emote, Klei made sure it was a rigged pole though, they removed confused so it couldn’t be used as much as others (this is a joke post if that part wasn’t obvious..) My most used emote is probably “like” simply because of how often I use it when the Devs post updates & patch notes.
