few fw and df kills and you will have more green gems that you will never use.

In the world i currently play, around day 2k, i've killed FW 20+ times, and DF 30+. I use green gems for scales, shroom skin, gnarwail horns, malbatross feahers, thulecite during early game, and maybe on some other things too when i feel lazy. Probably earned a little over 100 in total, and used at least 60 of them; and i'm still gonna kill DF and FW, mostly just for green gems and the guardian horn. I won't go any further with this argument, but i just strongly disagree with that statement.

So i'll go on topic, here's my hound trap:

That's impressive but how did you manage to have your world reach 1694 days with all dlc enabled and not crash or cause a game breaking bug?

Whoops, I must've been getting a lot of notifications around this time so didn't notice your quote here! In the time since then I've gone another ~300 days and, honestly? Maybe it's just because I'm careful with interiors, but I don't encounter many nasty bugs at all. There's one game breaking bug I know of involving relogging while the quackering ram's ramming effects haven't despawned, so I'm aware of and actively avoid that, but otherwise there's just... not much to worry about. The biggest issues I've had in terms of bugs in all this time is probably just floaty boaty knights spawning from other floaty boaties dying, an eyeplant spawning at 0,0, and... actually I'm drawing a blank past those two, there's definitely tiny bugs that have a constant presence, especially when I'm in Hamlet, but nothing big that would cause me to lose my world or to even remember the bug past the few seconds it's happening.

caves WIP

finally got around to reskinning the walls in my ruins.

the only plus side to the ancient pseudoscience being spawned as far away as possible is the fact i love the way it generated.

it is so unique and lovely.

Presenting Wormwood's Opulent Twig Farm!

I started a long-term solo world as Wormwood following the release of Reap What You Sow and it occurred to me that I could leverage his immunity to fire nettles and spiky bushes (the latter via the bramble husk) to make myself a rather unique twig farm.

This was done in a test world with creative mode and it was done with WX-78, as you can see. I did edit some numbers in the files to guarantee I'd get fire nettles, but this is 100% possible in a "vanilla" world. It's just gonna take ages to get all those fire nettles by kiting the Lord of the Fruit Flies around the place...

I've seen many bases here that aren't cluttered with lightning rods.

Do you guys disable lightning stikes or do lightning rods cover much bigger are than I'm aware of (4 pitchfork tiles)?

As you can see on my Bee farm and big crops farm i have 2 lightings rods (in middle), in my main base i have placed every 8 pitfork blocks and that should help protect all base.

It's 10 tiles, actually! But it's in a circle like a flingo, so it's going to cover less in the "corners" than 10 tiles due to that. Just gotta think in circles!

That's radius, not diameter, right?

Here is my largest DST build, My Bee Queen palace, This was made for fashion and function. The halls at the side of the arena are to mess with the grumble bees' pathing so they have to take a long detour in order to get to me. This build took a while to make but i'm happy with the result.

looks very pretty, but I would expect the grumblebees to kill both houndiuses with this setup, unless you're Wendy. Do they not?
