Only cook what you'll eat. Don't cook all your food at once.

Unless your food is about to go bad. Cooking food restores some of it's freshness, so if you have something on the verge of spoiling, cooking it will keep it edible for a little while longer.

Great plan for winter:Gather around 5-10 rabbitsMake a box of hay walls 5x5 - leave a open holeAt night place your rabbits IN the box (They won't run away)Rotate the camera to suits your need (To make more space)Close the hole when you finish putting the rabbitsWhen you need food - Just light the hay, the rabbits will dieFOOD!

Fire darts distracts the Deerclops. He seems angry and walks around until the fire's gone (a very short time), then starts chasing you again. Be careful though, he will ignite whatever he passes nearby (destroyed my grass farm -_-).

Mozzies don't really have a craftable use as yet but I had an interesting idea of making a kind of make-shift trap using them. For the Deerlops, I caught and placed numerous Mozzies in chests in the areas around my base. Also when fighting the deerlops itself I found it handy to drop a stack of mozzies in its path and run. The Deeplops does make short-work of them, but many'a'bug bite'n all. And provides a nice distraction for escape.

If you have a Beefalo overpopulation and you're unable to kill them, collect Pine Cones and plant them around the Beefalos. At night, when they're sleeping, burn one tree and let the fire spreads.http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/9273/burnbeefaloburn.jpg

I have multiple tips.1. If you don't wanna place a structure right away you can click on making it and right click and you'll have it in your tab till you want to place it.2. If you hit space instead of clicking on the target with net you won't use up any durability.3. Try to get 40 x2 of Grass, Twigs, Pebbles, and 9 Gold, 20 Charcoal, and 20reeds before building your base. 4. Place traps on waterhole before winter comes to get some early free hits off the walruses.5. You can have a trap right on top of a rabbit hole by filling up your inventory and right clicking while having a trap toggled. You can max out your inventory by Ctrl + clicking on an item that you have a vast quantity of to fill up space. 6. 1morsel + 3berries = Meatballs. For easy quick food.

When traversing the edge of the continent and crossing spider creep you can use WSAD to direct yourself along the VERY edge - you will move at normal speed, unhindered by the creep. Very useful if it's the night and you want to run away from a host of spiders.

My tip may also contain an exploit. When moving camp (or collecting a lot of resources when away from home) and you don't have Chester, or have more than he and you can hold: fill up a backpack (with stuff you probably won't need to use between now and getting home) and drop it. Craft and equip a new backpack and then pick up the old, full one. The full backpack will stay attached to your cursor and you can use WASD and Space to navigate the rest of your journey. Once you get home, drop the pack that's on your cursor, empty your equipped pack into a chest and reequip your original pack which is still full of your goodies. You will still be able to click on your craft menu with the backpack on your cursor, but may want to drop it if you're going to engage in battle.

Well, this does make sense, atleast. I mean, it's like you are just wearing a backpack and you keep one in your hand. Not really an exploit there. But the thing with the webs at the end of the world shouldn't be like that. Just because it's the edge, it doesn't mean the sticky web is magically not sticky anymore.Or the thing with the net. Just because you press space doesn't mean it's invulnerable all of a sudden. You know? Things like that are just not.. logical.

70% of the times the deerclops won't attack you if you keep constantly attacking him when he sleeps,he will wake up but wont attack you, this maybe happens because you don't give him enough time to growl(when a deerclops growls it may be actually selecting his target, similar to a hound bark) giving you an easy kill, trust me i have done this 6 times with different saves

all gravedigger items can be sold to the pig king and he will give you a lot of gold in return, from like 2 to 20 gold per item
