Hamlet Beta Signups! [Now Closed]

Recommended Posts

I do not worry if I am not included. Release date in December is not that far. I hope people actually do testing and give feedback and I'm confident from what I saw from the forum that players are willing to take it seriously which will resultĀ in a high quality DLC.

Well yeah that's a good strategy for game developers since 0 likes 1 post forum memebers are the majority of ds/t fanbase. I just feel like content creators (youtubers, streamers, artists, musicians) might idk loose their motivation and passion for this game or something like that

how are you so sure, anyone who signed up can be picked, you can not do anything to raise your chances, it's all random chance

Selection will not be based on forum participation, and you don't need to have a forum account to be selected.Ā

Mainly we are looking for people who own DS and have at least played it. We're looking for feedback from people who know the game, and have played SW, so we will probably prioritize on time played and whether you own SW.

I wouldn't expect being notified before Oct. 15th, we want to give as many people have the chance to signup as we can.

Not so random on the other thread

They want someone who played enough and is experienced in both SW and ROG. There is no point giving beta to someone who just started playing don't starve, don't owns dlc and is inexperienced.

I suppose that's not true, JoeW said that they'll prioritize people who played SW and not that they'll exclude others:

As a content creator myself, albeit a smaller one, not really. Content creators want to get their hands on Hamlet as early as possible for them sweet sweet early bird views. The only benefit is they'll have footage so if a bug does arise there's that.

Log file is more preferable than video footage(talking as one who fixed many bugs only because people sending bug-reports with their log file)

They're not going to lose their motivation over a random beta invite, though it wouldn't surprise me if a few hundred got pulled for those that have been dedicated to reproducing bugs reliably for the devs and popular streamers.

a combination of both is the best, cause its near impossible to fix a bug without being able to reproduce it.
that said, the log is tremendously helpful, for logic errors.

edit: for things that dont act how they should, the log is almost completly useless...
