To me "early next week" sound like Monday 1 AM, or something along those lines. Overall, it feels like Klei are shooting themselves in the foot. First they hype up an event, using broad language, and then hardcore fans visit the thread 50 times for updates only to be let down by complete silence on the dev's part. Sure, when the beta eventually comes, they may say that technically they kept their word, and it's our own fault for assuming stuff, but who does that? For what purpose? Same goes for the whole E3 announcement – we've been watching the PC gaming show for nearly an hour only to see a 1 minute trailer form Klei? What's the point of this tease other than just to piss people off? I don't get it. But I mean, let's still be grateful. Klei has kept Don't Stave running for a long time now, not letting it die. A lot of other developers are nowhere as great as the people at Klei, they don't listen to the community for suggestions and feedback, they do what's 'trending' rather than what the fans want. Klei interacts with the community to deliver the best experience, and when it's delayed or late, it's because they're making sure they're giving us only what we deserve and want, nothing less. The fact that some people get totally lathered up in their own minds and convince themselves that it means something ludicrous like 1 am Monday is nobody’s fault but the people who do that. Sure, Klei developers are going to come into work in the middle of the night on a Sunday night/Monday morning to launch a beta! I mean think about it for even one minute, if you can possibly manage that. They are people who live in the real world and have real lives. They are not Santa Claus. Chances are they are still working on the beta and literally don’t know exactly when they will be able to launch it. Maybe they tried to do it by today but that didn’t work out. There is no point in launching a beta if you don’t have staff around to monitor it, and it’s the end fo the workday there. I can only speak for myself, but I think the trailer looks fantastic and it even seems to have a puzzle in it. If they have to delay Hamlet longer than they expected, which is disappointing, at least they’ve given us an indication that it will be worth the wait and something to do in the meantime. At no point did they give any indication that they would do anything about the Gorge at E3. The ONLY hint they dropped, via Twitter, was for Hamlet, and it’s pretty obvious that they weren’t going to launch that at the same time as the Gorge. Plenty of people on this forum were saying that, but group hysteria would not listen. Um...Wednesday isn't "Early in the week". It's called HUMP DAY-YEAH!! for a reason y'know...it's because it's the mid-way point of the week. They work a typical job y'know...so it's not like they're gonna drop it in the wee hours of the morn'. Spoiler (4 AM their time = 8 AM my time) And as much as I'd love for it to be dropped by then, that's just cruel and unreasonable. IIRC from what I see they don't start their day until ~8 am their time, which is noon where I live. They have families to go home to, and it's not like they live in the studio! (Sleeping ontop of all of the calico chesters...) If you think about it, it makes perfect sense for them to drop it on Tuesday.
