      [UPDATED] Physical Megapack Disc Issues   04/16/2018

      We are now ready to accept claims for PS4 Megapack replacements.  Once again, our deepest appologies for this entire situation. We understand that your purchase of the Megapack was a show of support by our fans, many of which already owned the game. Please know that we have done our best to push as hard as we can for a quick and fair resolution to this issue. This has taken WAY too long to be resolved but we have done everything in our power to make sure our fans get what they purchased.   We are going to use the voucher codes we have been using to provide the digital version to claim the physical replacement discs. For North America, we are handling these requests directly through our own store with help from our friends at IndieBox. Claims will be handled at no cost to you. For claims outside of North America, 505 will be taking your information and processing your claims.  Those who purchased the Megapack after 4/26/2018 should have been given a voucher at the time of purchase on your receipt.  Those who purchased before 4/26/2018 or did not get a code otherwise can contact us for a voucher code that will entitle them to the digital megapack and can be used to claim the physical replacement discs.   1. Before I only experienced this problem when trying to connect to or invite my friends through the Steam overlay. Now, I experience it even when trying to join a server from the list. I tend to think you should have left it the way it was, than "fix" it in such a way. Big bummer.
  2. Your current saveindex file (Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\client_save) doesn't see any occupied clusters. So if you just copy a game save (e.g., Cluster_1) from a save backup folder to your game saves folder (Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\), the saveindex file won't see it. What you need to do is occupy a cluster in game, i.e. create a world in the respective cluster. Then exit the game and replace the newly created save folder with the one you had previously. To avoid any possible issues I would suggest deleting the world you just created first, and then pasting the old one. In the future I would suggest backing up the saveindex file as well, or the whole 'client_save' folder for that matter. Hope it helps.
  3. Question: How does one rejoin the server they just lost connection to? I remember reading in one of the update notes that it became an option at the time, but I didn't see such an option when browsing the servers. I tried to toggle "previously visited" on, and the menu showed 0 results out of 300+. I then typed the name of the lobby as I remembered it, and the menu showed one lobby that had 3 out of 3 players (including myself, apparently). Loading the list of players didn't succeed, trying to join the game gave an error message "server not responding". Shortly after that the lobby stopped showing up altogether, although, to my estimation, the game shouldn't have ended by then yet. So the question stands: how do you rejoin a server after losing connection to it? Is there a quicker and more straightforward way than the one described above?

  5. Incorrect recipe reward

    Sliders give 12 coins as Snack, but only 9 as Bread, and even less as Meat – 6, if I recall correctly. We got screwed over by the Cream of Mushrooms trying to beat it in 7 meals or less. Apparently, it only gives a favor when sacrificed as Soup (plated, of course), but as Vegetable or Snack it only gives a Red Mark. Not sure if we tried it as Cheese. But anyway, the recipe book is misleading. If some meals give different reward depending on the craving, it should be specified.

  7. I have a similar issue. As far as suggestions go, mine would be to wait for the end of Gorge. Perhaps, some things are set to work differently in favor of the event, but they currently break the vanilla game. I suppose, if the devs don't provide a fix by then, when the event is over everything should be reverted to the way it was.
  8. I can't resume a previously generated local world (900 days) with caves. The game is just stuck on the generating screen, so far that it freezes/unfreezes several times (freezing can be seen by lack of animation), then it kinda transitions to "connecting to world" (after a solid 5 minutes), but after that it freezes for good. Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del summons the menu, but after choosing the Task Manager, it's back to an infinite black screen. The only way to end this eternal limbo is to manually switch off the PC. After rebooting, I tried to resume that world once again – the results were identical. I guess, it might have something to do with the current updates for the Gorge. I am able to resume a caveless testing world, though. So I guess, caves are the issue?

    A developer has replied to an identical report. I suggest looking for identical issues on the BugTracker before posting your own report. But, I guess, it's not gonna happen.

  11. Anytime I try to enter a cave, the game crashes with the following message: "Don't Starve Together has run out of memory and must shut down". If this happens on a public server, I can rejoin that game and once it's done loading, my character appears in the cave. The moment I try to come back to the surface, I get the same crash again. If, however, it happens in a world I'm hosting, trying to resume that world ends up crashing the game again, so I can no longer access that world. Sure, I can potentially roll back to a point before entering the caves, but what is the point of playing a game with half the content? I disabled all the mods I had (Combined Status, Geometric Placement, Gesture Wheel, Global Position and Global Pause), and tried to create new worlds, going from Huge to Small (thinking my RAM cannot handle worlds due to their size), but all to no effect – as soon as I enter a cave, I crash, and then I cannot get back into that world ever again. This issue had not happened to me before Forge had rolled out. I would get occasional crashes when entering/exiting caves, but (1) it wouldn't happen every time, and (2) I could still get back into the game after crashing. I don't know if it's a RAM issue. After all, it happens to me on public servers where I don't have to host two dedicated servers (which could explain running out of memory). I would also like to point out, that creating a new world now takes up to 5 minutes, while trying to resume an existing world takes up to 2 minutes. As far as I remember, it used to be quicker. I'm really hoping to get some help from you, guys.

    In order for the game to see them your save files should be located in \Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether or \Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogetherANewReignBeta, if you're playing the beta. Whenever you moved the content of those folders, just put them back in.
  13. Your saves should be somewhere like MyDocuments/Klei/DoNotStarveTogetherANewReignBeta. You should relocate all the contents of this folder to MyDocuments/Klei/DoNotStarveTogether, because as of the latest update the game is no longer in beta.
  14. The new patch for SW came out Nov 24, and I still can't get my hands on it, since when I launch the Klei Updater, it tells me the newest version is 194670, which I already have. What can be done to circumvent this? I would really appreciate the latest bug fixes.

    Hi, I'm having an issue. I've been trying to update my game to the latest version using the Updater app, but every time I run it, it says that the latest version is 194670, which I already have. Why does it keep happening, and how can I actually get my hands on 197843 and so on?
