  1. When the monsoon is over, it takes a couple of days in the dry season for the puddles to dry out. No big deal, right? Except it doesn't work as intended, or at least not the way it used to. I'm currently in the beginning of the mild season already, and this is what I witnessed today: 1. Puddles never completely disappear on some islands, their source "tiles" (as big as a sandbag) are still visible and stepping on them makes you wet. Some of them are NOT visible and they still make you wet. 2. Puddles expand like tides during dusk and night. Except it happened in dry season and they shouldn't have been there in the first place. 3. Standing next to puddles during the day in dry season seams to make them disappear completely, but when a Dragoon Egg hits near them during volcanic rain, they suddenly appear on their previous spots, and come dusk they start expanding. 4. I'm currently in the mild season and my island still has many flooded areas that I rarely visit. Didn't check on other islands yet, but I bet every flood that was offline didn't disappear properly. So, that is that. I hope my feedback was useful. Really look forward to a fix for these issues.
  2. Funny enough, the latest patch supposedly fixed the potential out of memory issue on world load. I just bought the DLC recently, and I can't even start playing, since I get the out of memory error every time I try to create a Hamlet world.
  3. Could you please specify, how exactly it was "fixed"? I had this quest just today. Beat the Boarior as Wendy, then lost on the Rhinos and didn't complete the quest. What else was i supposed to do?
  4. At this point in time it's getting a bit old. Given how hard it is to find a lobby with adequate players who know what they're doing, having a potential win be taken away from you due to a crash is not really all that enjoyable. Thank you for at least letting us rejoin the game we've just been in, and placing it at the top of the list. That's a decent crutch, I'll give you that. But can you please fix it already? I don't recall having this issue last year, everything worked fine. The three client logs I'm attaching were made in one night, for crying out loud. Doesn't matter what I'm doing – regularly hitting mobs, using special attacks, or just writing in chat – the game just snaps at some point, the last bit of sound starts stuttering and then I get thrown out to desktop. I really, really hope you finally fix this. Thank you.
  5. Hey, Starphire. Thanks for replying. Do you suggest playing without sound? Did it help you in any way? I don't think the issue is cause by sound, but rather the sound stuttering (as well as image lagging) is just the most noticeable sign of the crash. I may try to follow your advice, but then again playing without sound isn't really worth it for me. Thanks anyway. Looking forward for a developer to respond.
  6. Looking at the bug tracker, it seems like incompleteable quests have become a common issue now. I had the same quest and I couldn't complete it, despite having met the requirements (see screenshots). Btw, didn't have to ask anyone to let me get the card – people I was playing with were... let's just say, underperforming.
  7. Before I only experienced this problem when trying to connect to or invite my friends through the Steam overlay. Now, I experience it even when trying to join a server from the list. I tend to think you should have left it the way it was, than "fix" it in such a way. Big bummer.
  8. Your current saveindex file (Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\client_save) doesn't see any occupied clusters. So if you just copy a game save (e.g., Cluster_1) from a save backup folder to your game saves folder (Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\), the saveindex file won't see it. What you need to do is occupy a cluster in game, i.e. create a world in the respective cluster. Then exit the game and replace the newly created save folder with the one you had previously. To avoid any possible issues I would suggest deleting the world you just created first, and then pasting the old one. In the future I would suggest backing up the saveindex file as well, or the whole 'client_save' folder for that matter. Hope it helps.
  9. Question: How does one rejoin the server they just lost connection to? I remember reading in one of the update notes that it became an option at the time, but I didn't see such an option when browsing the servers. I tried to toggle "previously visited" on, and the menu showed 0 results out of 300+. I then typed the name of the lobby as I remembered it, and the menu showed one lobby that had 3 out of 3 players (including myself, apparently). Loading the list of players didn't succeed, trying to join the game gave an error message "server not responding". Shortly after that the lobby stopped showing up altogether, although, to my estimation, the game shouldn't have ended by then yet. So the question stands: how do you rejoin a server after losing connection to it? Is there a quicker and more straightforward way than the one described above?
  10. @JanH Hey, thanks for the reply. Sorry, I only noticed it just now. I provided the files you requested. Hopefully it'll help fix the issue. Huh, that's pretty weird. But thanks, I'll try that. server_log - Master.txt server_log - Caves.txt
  11. I can't resume a previously generated local world (900 days) with caves. The game is just stuck on the generating screen, so far that it freezes/unfreezes several times (freezing can be seen by lack of animation), then it kinda transitions to "connecting to world" (after a solid 5 minutes), but after that it freezes for good. Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del summons the menu, but after choosing the Task Manager, it's back to an infinite black screen. The only way to end this eternal limbo is to manually switch off the PC. After rebooting, I tried to resume that world once again – the results were identical. I guess, it might have something to do with the current updates for the Gorge. I am able to resume a caveless testing world, though. So I guess, caves are the issue?
  12. Incorrect recipe reward

Sliders give 12 coins as Snack, but only 9 as Bread, and even less as Meat – 6, if I recall correctly. We got screwed over by the Cream of Mushrooms trying to beat it in 7 meals or less. Apparently, it only gives a favor when sacrificed as Soup (plated, of course), but as Vegetable or Snack it only gives a Red Mark. Not sure if we tried it as Cheese. But anyway, the recipe book is misleading. If some meals give different reward depending on the craving, it should be specified.
  13. "70 shades of wet goop", the new culinary best seller.
  14. I have a similar issue. As far as suggestions go, mine would be to wait for the end of Gorge. Perhaps, some things are set to work differently in favor of the event, but they currently break the vanilla game. I suppose, if the devs don't provide a fix by then, when the event is over everything should be reverted to the way it was.
  15. Cloths in my inventory are gone!

A developer has replied to an identical report. I suggest looking for identical issues on the BugTracker before posting your own report. But, I guess, it's not gonna happen.
  16. Can't launch server // Cave error

Hi. Any updates? I seem to have the same issue. https://forums.kleientertainment.com/klei-bug-tracker/dont-starve-together/cannot-access-caves-out-of-memory-r8146/
  17. Anytime I try to enter a cave, the game crashes with the following message: "Don't Starve Together has run out of memory and must shut down". If this happens on a public server, I can rejoin that game and once it's done loading, my character appears in the cave. The moment I try to come back to the surface, I get the same crash again. If, however, it happens in a world I'm hosting, trying to resume that world ends up crashing the game again, so I can no longer access that world. Sure, I can potentially roll back to a point before entering the caves, but what is the point of playing a game with half the content? I disabled all the mods I had (Combined Status, Geometric Placement, Gesture Wheel, Global Position and Global Pause), and tried to create new worlds, going from Huge to Small (thinking my RAM cannot handle worlds due to their size), but all to no effect – as soon as I enter a cave, I crash, and then I cannot get back into that world ever again. This issue had not happened to me before Forge had rolled out. I would get occasional crashes when entering/exiting caves, but (1) it wouldn't happen every time, and (2) I could still get back into the game after crashing. I don't know if it's a RAM issue. After all, it happens to me on public servers where I don't have to host two dedicated servers (which could explain running out of memory). I would also like to point out, that creating a new world now takes up to 5 minutes, while trying to resume an existing world takes up to 2 minutes. As far as I remember, it used to be quicker. I'm really hoping to get some help from you, guys.
  18. World Save gone! D:

In order for the game to see them your save files should be located in \Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether or \Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogetherANewReignBeta, if you're playing the beta. Whenever you moved the content of those folders, just put them back in.
  19. Your saves should be somewhere like MyDocuments/Klei/DoNotStarveTogetherANewReignBeta. You should relocate all the contents of this folder to MyDocuments/Klei/DoNotStarveTogether, because as of the latest update the game is no longer in beta.
  20. The new patch for SW came out Nov 24, and I still can't get my hands on it, since when I launch the Klei Updater, it tells me the newest version is 194670, which I already have. What can be done to circumvent this? I would really appreciate the latest bug fixes.
  21. [Game Update] - 198251

Hi, I'm having an issue. I've been trying to update my game to the latest version using the Updater app, but every time I run it, it says that the latest version is 194670, which I already have. Why does it keep happening, and how can I actually get my hands on 197843 and so on?
  22. Flotsam no longer spawns.

The thing is, this issue has been around since... well, I'll go on a limb and say, since the official release of SW. Maybe even since beta launch, I'm not sure. Before, when SW was only announced, I remember playing RoG sometime in the summer of 2015, and flotsam back then would spawn near water on a daily basis. After that, SW beta was released, so naturally I didn't play RoG for a long time. Only by spring of 2016 I tried RoG again and, to my disappointment, I found several bugs that ruined the experience for me. One of them was that floatsam never spawned after the initial batch found near the parrot. So it didn't make much sense creating a SW-compatible RoG world, since you wouldn't be able to assemble a Seaworthy in RoG (apart from breaking the sunken boat). Another one - was that when a chest started smoldering during summer, pressing on it only allowed you to open it, not extinguish, and pressing SPACE next to it did nothing. Only leaving the game and reentering made the smoldering stop and let me save my base while I didn't have other means of firefighting. It got annoying pretty quickly, so I just dropped that world. I tried to make a non-SW-compatible world, and I noticed that when I cook a meal in a crockpot, it doesn't show when it's done, the pot seems empty. I made entries about the first two bugs on the bugtracker here some half a year ago, but since then they were archived or whatever, but they are no longer on display. Perhaps, I was wrong to categorize them under RoG bugtracker, but that doesn't deny the fact, that these issues need addressing. I'm surprised they are still there in the latest version of the game.
  23. Flotsam no longer spawns.

Hi. What version of the game are you playing?
