He wasn't sure if hot water was particularly good for cleaning cuts but he didn't have any other option. Under better circumstances, he could find some clean cooler water and add salt to it. He poured the water over some of his deeper cuts and left the grazes and scratches alone. I don't wanna get my fur any wetter than it already is, he though. (Seriously, is hot water good for grazes at all? I couldn't find any relevant results on Google). I know the water is clean but wouldn't boiled water scald the skin around the cut or something? Idk... and if I don't know then Red ignores it cos reasons).
