He'll probably be released along the same time as Caves, however if they are waiting for the right moment lore wise then he might stay hidden away for quite awhile longer, perhaps until TTA. They also don't use the kiting AI, have the same health as Maxwell himself (75), and have a very slow attack period, so they die insanely fast in most fights. Pigs have smarter AI and are much cheaper to use. I've never found a practical use for them in vanilla DS, they are just a luxury to have when you have a ton of nightmare fuel. They are only useful when you have 3 out at once, which wrecks your sanity and health. They deal 40 damage and have the same health as Maxwell himself, which is 75.but imagine how op he would be in pvp, four maxwells surrounding one player and just ganging up on him, he would not be able to attack back (stunlock reasons) and lets not forget the fact that one maxwell (the player) starts out with armor and a sword? Wigfrid starts with armor and a weapon too, has more health, has an increased damage modifier, and regains health. Is she not a problem? For most combat purposes they are not useful at all. But why? i dont think he has something OP to keep for multiplayer experience. Maybe codex umbra? I dont think that power is OP. A wigfrid or wolfgang can easily one shot kill each puppet. why they dont add the same character like they did add primary characters.. they should just copy paste the codes and add him to the game directly. He has nothing op except for sanity.. His sanity is always increasing XD. Challenge was to get nightmare fuel with him in single player but now his teammates can provide lotta nightmare fuel for him to spawn shadow pups. but then again, that shadow pups really suck at fighting. Another thing about him is it would be an easy character for people who does not able to keep sanity up. So players new to the game would choose him just to focus on 2 stats rather than 3 at a time. though it is OK.. Another problem would be group of maxwell.. That would be a serious threat in PvP servers.. Thoughn, 4 well fed wolfgang with same armor and weapon can easily kill 4 maxwell with same armor and weapon along with 12 shadow puppets. After all he is the one that tricked all others in entering this world we can't expect them to be friendly with him . They've been making code changes to systems only used by him (e.g. sanity penalty). Not everything is there in the code that we have, but there are references to code that isn't there, e.g.: --[[ Because we don't have any maxsanity restoring items we want to be more careful with how we remove max sanity. Because of that, this is not handled here. Removal of sanity is actually managed by the entity that is created. See maxwell's pet leash on spawn and pet on death functions for examples. --]](The pet leash on spawn and pet on death functions do not currently exist for shadowwaxwell) Edit: This is actually in the builder component, and follows a section that details different kinds of recipe ingredients, which suggests that the current form of Maxwell they have actually "crafts" his puppets. Even with three ghosts and dusk the sanity drain is still only 13.3/min meaning maxwell won't lose any sanity. That pretty much negates the point of ghosts.
