Okay, I'm not very experienced with this whole 'communication' thingy, so please bear with me if what I'm saying is completely nuts.

I'm pretty sure... that video... and related discussion is not a good way to welcome new members. I mean, I could be wrong. Maybe talking about overused in-jokes involving shipping between forumers is just what newish people like to see in a welcome thread.

So, uh, it's W's birthday? Yay, and all that.

We have about 500 registrations a day. And about 15k people visit the forums each day, when it's slow like now.

I would say, right now we have about 30 new people post a day, more or less.

And only about 10% of the people visiting the forums actually post.

When we have something interesting going on, that number goes much higher. We have a lot of lurkers, and once DST hits, they will be more motivated to post.

Yeah, please consider if that video is appropriate for a new member. That's as far as i will go here.

//awkward coughing

Hi hello I am Becca. I still sleep with stuffed animals and cut my sandwiches into the shape of dinosaurs. My profile claims im 17 but I'm actually a physically advanced five year old.

Also Happy Birthday to W

Hi Becca! *Waves* I hit 18 emotionally recently! :-)

(And again, happy B-day W!)

If we're on the topic of birthdays, mine is in 2 days.

Happy future B-day Mack!

*tweedles thumbs*  ...Hi, I'm your local lurker, and I like bacon and turtles

I know you.

Was that bacon and turtles at the same time, or different times? And do you eat one, both, or neither?

This is a thing, apparently?

Well, the last time I went in a townsquare or even any kind of public meeting area almost everyone near the epicenter of the focus was obliterated and changed mentally and physically into horrible abominations.

This is an introduction page, so I might as well.

I am TheDapperMan, as it says.  I joined here not to long ago, I learned of Don't Starve from a friend, which has an account here too.  I love pairing people.  Right now I am trying to expose people for being murderous sons of b*****. *COUGH* *COUGH* XxTheGentleManScientistxX *COUGH* *COUGH*  Soooooon.

I don't post here much.  Only for bug reports.

I get angry easy, so I might come off as mean.  I hate grammer nazis so much.

That's odd. I would have thought the last time you were in a townsquare was the last time you got lynched.

Enough with the Frozen references!

Just Let it Go!

Hm, I was just considering sayin' the same thing to Mack because he was getting riled up about people making Frozen references.

So is this a Salem-ish town square? If so, I vote for lynching the truthseeker for the Frozen reference.

Also because he appears to be one of the few people who can beat my post count without spamming the art section like I've noticed a few people did.

*points to gathering mob*

It's not what you think

*Mob chanting* "MAKE A PARODY SONG, OR DIE! MAKE A PARODY SONG OR DIE!...."

Seriously, working on a Glommer-inspired one right now.  Edit: All done!

And you have about 600 posts ahead of me...this week ;)

I liked Frozen as well, but it was more for its technical aspects. Story was mediocre, but I did like the characterization of both Anna and Elsa, and I'll be damned if I don't say that wasn't good snow. I know snow. I'm from Northern Canada where snow is like 75% of the year...

For a Disney movie with princesses, it was a pretty good story. (Also, being a 3d animator, that hair as well was just... wow....)

Ps, I live way down south in Toronto, and it was SNOWING a few days ago. Canada is god damn trolling me.

Yeah, hair sims have come a long way. I mean Brave was phenomenal for that.

(I'm sure I'm going to Disney Hades for that.)

Oh look it's the song I spam CS:GO servers with

I actually really liked Frozen

Mostly because I was forced to get on the hype train by my fellow students.

But it was actually an ok movie
