I've survived maybe... 23 days as Wilson? I don't remember to well. Me and my sister share a Steam account so she actually has beaten my score with Wilson which she survived like maybe 4 more days than me XD God looking at everyone else's day count... I really suck at this game >.>

Then I tried the adventure again to get Wes, but 3rd level was Two Worlds, which, according to wiki, never generates Wes structures, so I dropped the game until RoG.

Vanilla, no mods, Wickerbottom : *550 Days* , Few days later, Wickerbottom got insane for not reading any books for almost 2 years, she committed suicide.

 

RoG,no mods, Wickerbottom: *250 Days* ,and counting... She's experiencing similar paranoia as of last time, although this time it seems, it's affecting her sooner then expected, might be due to the lack of Reeds.

I have a terrible problem with continuous trials with the same character. Right now i'm clocking in on sixty days with Maxwell, but who knows how long before my attention span dwindles into the abyss. I am trying to hit at least 100 days though. Hopefully I can pull through this time.

Day 343 as Wes, and I've run out of things to do. I haven't played that world in a while, because I'm currently affected by a gamebreaking glitch Klei hasn't quite patched out yet.

155 days as webber, got bored and switch world and killed myself with ...? i don't remember but in the morgue there is "Blue hound"...weird

300 and something with Woodie, I got annoyed by the werebeaver full moon transformations, and left the world.

Played as Wilson on day 241, killed by nightmares, then by hounds when I respawned.

Interestingly enough, the hallucination death was listed first, with the hound death second in the morgue.

I've gone much longer back in vanilla but even back then I tended to get really bored at around day 130ish. RoG really does give a bit more longevity to any given run.

 

The only sad part is that I'm practically impervious to death now once I get this far in a game. Even if some stroke of severe bad luck or misjudgment marked my demise, I still have a meat effigy up and the means to make a replacement right after it.

426 days with Wilson. It's a save file I've had for about a year now and I hadn't played it in a long while, but it's nice to see my personal record in the save files and to be able to revisit the save file if I ever feel nostalgic about it. He even has 2 meat effigies set up in his base just in case I do something silly when I start it up and end up having one accident too many. ;3

I've killed all 4 giants in a single game, so I consider that a 'win'. But I did it with Wig and I consider her easy mode. Having a little more trouble with WX due to the new mechanics and Wilson because RNGeezus hates me.

 

Counting days is silly since you can just make the world ungodly easy on yourself (Igloos: lots).

I've gotten to 80 days as Maxi, so I guess I've done a full year now, and am currently bored and spawning bugnets and catching butterflies to make a garden. What does one do after a year of survival? What does one do?... I suppose I could start trekking it to the caves....

Map the caves, the ruins, kill the Guardian, build the Houndius Shootius, a full Thulecite gear ensemble, find the pieces, go to the teleportato, go to next world, changing character in the process if you feel like it. Or go to Adventure Mode again.

Then I'm pretty sure I packed up and left for a new world using the teleportato, and from there I don't remember because I got bored and deleted the world.

 

I also tend to get extremely far with WX, my third favorite behind Wes, but when I played RoG for the first time the spring rain finally got to me.

I know I lived through two Winters months ago, before I got obsessed with trying to beat Adventure mode, but I always delete my games when I move onto a new one, and the Morgue doesn't record far enough back.

I'm on day 23 of world 3.The first two worlds were all Wigfrid, on 480+ days, which were boring. Then I went to third world with Webber and immediately regretted my decision after seeing how pathetic his sanity is. 

Edit: I just died with Webber, should have just stayed with Wigfrid.

My record so far is 22 days.  Not looking for sympathy or anything: just figured I'd maybe make the newer players (like me) feel better for not having 100's days old characters!!!!   :)

 

I don't cheat, and have only just started to look up stuff on the wiki/forums/youtube.  I think I've played 60 or so hours across a couple dozen starts, usually random characters.  I typically get as far as establishing a base with a few farms and an alchemy thingy and then boom: a new season hits or I explore too far from base and die. I'm working on it.  After all, I only just found the stone that lets you respawn.  Duh, lol.

I have a horrible record at Day 49 with Wilson. I'm a fairly new player, just got this game a month ago, so I guess ok. But I'm pretty bad at it.

I got to 52 days with Wickerbottom mod non ROG. Now im on day 32 with Wilson and I feel much more prepared and confident. In fact, im almost more comfortable wandering the world than I am tending base. I found Maxwell's Door today and got all excited.

With RoG I'm now in my second Winter with Wigfrid, day 83.

 

I have yet to experience Spring though as I started in Autumn, and triggered a trap during Winter that made it instant Summer.  I'm getting ready to hunt walruses, so I'll probably be dead soon enough. 

 

I always die by being over-ambitious and not wanting to leave a fight, or by wanting to collect all the items on the ground rather than running, especially when I'm already freezing/low on health/starving.  I don't like Meat Effigies and I usually forget to go and put supplies by any touchstones.  So it'll be a miracle if I ever make it to Spring.

Well my prediction was right - I died on day 86.  I was doing really well, spotted a track during dusk and decided to follow in case it disappeared by morning, found it just as night fell, and it was wasn't the Winter Koalephant, it was a Varg.

 

Wigfrid could have dealt with the Varg, but I had to try to quickly build a fire instead and got killed.  Resurrected at a touchstone, with no equipment, by a miracle I found a flint and managed to make an axe and build a fire before freezing to death, but then had to somehow make it home, near to starving and almost no health.  Made it home by burning trees along the way, got her fed and some Winter gear and starting out to collect my stuff and Chester, and with no warning got hit by a huge hound wave. 

 

So frustrating, off to start all over again, which strangely enough I don't mind too much - it's always exciting exploring a new world.

 

Oh and I forgot to say, I only died by the hound wave because my game started lagging and she wouldn't run where I was clicking so the hounds caught up.  The reason it took me so long to beat Adventure mode - always happens when there's too much going on, especially in Winter, and no fixes work.
