Whats your Don't Starve record, and with what Character?

Recommended Posts

Wilson, forever Wilson. Had a Willow world over 60 days, but suicided because I got bored and didn't want to manage her sanity / random fires any longer. Also played WX-78 on vanilla, over 60 days and ennui ensued.

On my Wilson worlds, the vanilla run I have was ~185 days before getting bored. The modded world just for building is over 330+ days now. All non-RoG, btw.

I get bored at about 130 days, but thats just me

I usually survive until i make a stupid mistake or a giant (except the deerclops which i can strangely easily beat) appears, then i die, horribly.

The Deerclops always wrecks all my **** , he really is a pain, strangely enough all the other giants are cool with me, the dragonfly never turns up, and the Goose/Moose is way to easy, and the Bearger is pretty hard too. What are we talking about again? :D

So far around 150 days with wilson.

Though that was vinlilla

with Rog i think the longest i've survived is probably around 30 days

Though that record is probably gonna be broken soon, as i have a new save file on day 14, playing as Maxwell (new found love for the character BTW), with a glommer statue in my base, a pig village below it, beefalo's are a short trip to the west, and a wormhole that leads near hound and spider dens (to farm for silk and teeth). As long as no giant ends up ruining it i should be golden.

current world is my record, day 109 right now its with the robot fellow. Started out with willow, I liked the fire immune passive but she is tricky to work with when you try to get nightmare fuel by harvesting evil flowers. With willow i never really got past my first winter, either was killed due to freezing or one of the giants made goop out of me.

Will have to se how this world goes, so far its looking good

My Record with Wilson is day 7, never really fancyed him, I prefer RoG and Webber and sometimes Willow :D

411 days with Wilson on a non-RoG save. I've hit a pretty sustainable rhythm on that world, so I could probably go a bit longer. I haven't touched it for a while, though, since I've been playing RoG.

One day I will get past day 200... One day

485 with wickerbottom on a none ROG save. In RoG, it's about 255 with wigfried, then i accidently released rock lobsters so i went through the teleportato- did that for about 7 worlds, finally found somewhere great to settle down again but was defeated by dragonfly in my first summer of that world.

How do you keep yourself entertained for that long, doesn't is get repetitive, I run out of things to do at around 130... But wow, 485 with Wickerbottom, I think I got to day 10 with her, then my save got deleted...

I get the same thing - around 150 days i start to feel like theres nothing left to do, but by 200 days thats usually passed and i'm finding things to do again.. some of them arent much fun, like farming endless krampus's but stil others are - exploring the caves, setting up bunnymen/treegaurd/tentacle farms. On that 485 day save i completely moved my base, and rebuilt it in a better spot for late game, that took some time...  You get to the stage where you dont just have a camp, you have the whole biome.

i do hear what your're saying though. on my wigfried save i was getting a bit bored and feeling stuck for things to do. It's why i wish when you went through the teelportato you could change world settings... i wouldve loved to increase difficulty in the next world with her to keep things interesting

I'm at ~410 days with Webber right now, but I temporarily stopped playing this game for a new one with Wickerbottom (never played her before), huge map, short spring and autumn, very long summer and winter and forced spring start. That basically gave me 12 days to prepare for a 40 days summer. I think I am currently at day ~35.

Im currently on day ~340 on an RoG save and you find things to do. Caves and ruins really gives you tons of things to do late game and eventually you just start taking over the world. Im currently setting up trap rooms in every biome so I never have to worry when I travel. Afterwards I might start building secondary bases in my most-traveled areas and underground.

Edit: The save is with Wickerbottom. My favorite. :D

I find that in RoG there always a constant threat from, giants (thats probably just me cause i am paranoid as sh*t) that prevents me from exploring and expanding my base...

That shouldn't be the case, as the giants are meant to punish you from actually camping your base. The only thing I can take into consideration when exploring is the last time I had a hound attack. If I know one is incoming in the next day, I wont be leaving for an incredibly long expedition unless it is in the caves. There should never be anything that prevent you from exploring, take some risks ! Have fun and explore! Even if it's summer or winter! Go out there and explore, it is always possible. Cheers =)

Vanilla  Rog: Wilson 114 days,I died because of the spider queen,I tried to give monster meats to some pigs so they couldhelp me kill her but I made a mistake.I dropped my wood armor by accident when I had low HP.

Modded save RoG: Willow 28 days . I died because I tried to kill a werewolf pig during full moon.I forgotted that the pig I was attacking will call for help,2 pigs ran after me,I died trying to kill the one I almost killed.

Vanilla Non rog: 80 days wilson ; I died by accident during winter .A buffalo and his friends killed me because I made the mistake to hurt one of them, wrong click.

Modded save non rog: 355 days wendy,I don't remember how I died but that was funny

I know it sucks, but day 30 as Webber.

I had a friggin puffy vest and everything. I got some spiders to attack pengulls on day 26, but the pen gulls got to me. Luckily I got a touchstone, but even with burning forests I still barely made it back alive.

When I got back on day 27, I found out that ALL MY FOOD, which I was stupid enough to leave on me was ATEN BY THE SPIDERS AAAAHHHH. Then OF COURSE THE MOLES ATE MY ROCKS AND FLINT.

I got back the rocks and flint, but there was no food. My hearts too low for hardcore hunting, nothing would grow cuz it's winter, and yeah.

Day 29, hound attack. I run to my spider biome and desperately try and get the meat, but fail. My hunger AND health are low, but I am determined to survive.

Day 30, I return to my base by dusk and my hunger is at 10. Webber warns me about the deerclopse, and a gun goes to my head. Luckily I found some spider glands laying around, so I was at full health again. I put my log suit on and here he comes. I let him destroy my base because I didn't want to die, and after a few minutes my hunger runs out and he hits me, 80 to 0 health in one hit.

GG.

Currently on day 40ish in RoG with Wilson. I changed some of the settings to make the game harder and more enjoyable to my liking. Turned up spiders, tallbirds, clockworks, and hounds to more. I also changed the settings for each season and made them VERY short. Roughly every 5-6 days it changes seasons which I find more fun/difficult because I start to lose interest with the same season for 20+ days. I recommend seasons on very short if you are looking for a challenge or want to try something different.

It seems that when ever I make a base I never leave it, and I suck at planing trips, but I will probably adventure more now and maybe even have multiple bases or something,

Thanks though :D
