I'm pretty convinced that it's a giant badger monster. I'd expect more giants though considering it references "Giants" in plural (i.e: more than one).

That seems to be the case. But considering our track record as a community when it comes to puzzle solving, we'll probably spend a healthy chunk of time overanalyzing what little there is. And have a smashing time while doing it, I might add.

 

Speaking of speculation... *adjusts tinfoil hat* 

There's one thing that's really bugging me about this. I'm curious as to wether the "Reign of Giants" will mean just the giant badger/raccoon monster. More specifically...do you guys remember when we were dismantling the Forbidden Knowledge trailer and nobody had any idea why this guy was floating around?

We never really did figure out where he fit in. All the rest of the stuff was science symbols, URLs, etc, but this fellow was particularly out of place. 

I mean, I know it's unlikely that they were planning something this far in advance, but...if we're going to see a huge, firebreathing turtle monster, what better place than among giants?

Well, they wouldn't necessarily have to be planning the DLC that far in advance. Maybe they've had the idea for adding such a creature for a while, but it's only now that they've found a good way to incorporate it. It's not as unlikely as you might think!

I keep looking through this trailer ad nauseam.  Nothing logically genuine is jumping out. 

The only thing I could be getting here is tiny scrapings of a "Z" and "J", but even I think that's just stupid nothingness.

It's a teaser not a trailer everybody calm down, the Devs still have time to give us our puzzle fix.

I really misread the title thinking "Autumn Teaser" meant it was a teaser for a DLC coming out in Autumn 2014, instead of it being a Teaser for "Autumn in-game".

 

Also, Lava caves.

 

 

 

Edit: Structures should heal over time too, no idea if this has been patched at all but I just thought I would mention it. Kind of allows room for exploits.

 

Edit II: Because the video is so specific (Focused on Autumn) I think its safe to assume that more teasers are to come.

Autumn Teaser.Heh.Maybe Yes Maybe No.You Dont Actually Know If we are talking about the season it comes out or a new in-game season.However The Giants Dont Look to be something to Not Notice as they look to be in-game big time coming.Also,I Kind of guarantee that the racoon on steroids bear will be on land as I dont see any rocks falling and im pretty sure leaves dont exist in caves so...

Alright, if there's no puzzle, then I would like confirmation from the devs.

Unless that's the puzzle. Is there a puzzle? Are they toying with us? Who knows.
