How about a little question to pass the time? What are your top 3 hopes for the next skill tree update? Mine are: Wortox, Walter, and Warly.

Probably Wortox, Walter and Willow.

Wortox desperately needs a skill tree to scale better into endgame. 20 Souls max is not enough as a food source & for extended trips.

Walter is Walter. I don't think I need to get into why.

Now that Wilson has his skill tree, Willow is a more non-character than even WILSON, which really needs to change soon.

No, Willow is fun and fine as she is. Hopefully the addition of a skill tree won't change that. :v Minimal changes, if any, please.

Would you mind elaborating? Basically the only thing about her kit that doesn't feel like a stat change(my personal least favorite kind of perks/drawbacks) is Bernie, who only exists while insane.

Do you want her to be as basic as she seems to be to me, or is there something I'm missing in how willow functions? From my experience, nothing in Willows kit feels impactful at all.

Wilsons skill tree is a joke.

While everyone got their refresh and eventually skill tree perks as well, Wilson is left with literally nothing.

Wilson can turn crap into poop and vice versa? lil dude learned to hide food in his beard and throw torches? Incredible.

I was a Wilson main in the past, and really liked playing as Wilson simply due to his persona and what not, but still had hope that Klei will come to their sense and will turn Wilson into experienced AND badass survivor. But we got what we got. I switched into playing Wolfgang, Maxwell and sometimes Woodie - not dissapointed with my choice. Wilson is a dead character gameplay wise in his curreng state

Having played said character for a myriad of hours over the years the game still feels challenging and rewarding without having any over-the-top abilities. The fire immunity and overheat resistance still stands out when other characters are succumbing to summer heat and can't handle standing on a boat with a fully lit Firepit for example. I keep those perks in high regard and I love the bonus fuel efficiency. Drastically adding additional benefits or alleviating the downsides would dumb the game down when playing as Willow. It is my take at least. She still stands out from the crowd. Of course, thought-through skills (as opposed to simply boosting stats) and "fun perks" are welcome.

Fair enough. I guess its just Willow doesn't compare will against my main metric of what I consider a well designed character - how much does their core gameplay loop deviate from a Wilson. In that regard, Willow is certainly on the lower end of the spectrum.

Personally, my main hope is she gets a cheap fire staff equivalent. It astounds me that somehow WICKERBOTTOM has a more accessible fire staffs than WIllow.

Generally, I think the big thing I want from her skill tree would be to increase the viability of her using fire damage in combat- not replacing drops with ashes, flames dealing more damage, better availability. Just to make her deviate more in playstyle from a Wilson.

That aside, If she gets a full rework, I'd be interested in seeing how she'd play if she had a natural body temperature of freezing, but her lighter was buffed to bring body temperature above freezing. It'd make her downside more apparent which could be used to buff her in compensation, though I get why that Idea might not sit right with you.

Yea, I don't agree for most part. I mainly play alone or with people who are rather new at the game, and they usually stick to Wendy, Wigfrid, Woodie and sometimes Wormwood. Agreed, it's silly that Wickerbottom has those fiery themed things but at this point that is another story / issue altogether. Willow's Lighter could definitely use a revision. I concur. :))

Man I hope they trick her out!

Cyborg arm, iPods, jet pack, Nike shoes etc etc

Give her Lazer beams, telekinesis, teleporting, spirit bomb frfr
