What Character Personality do you HATE

Recommended Posts

Like from the examination quotes and animations, what character do you not want to examine things with?

you don't have to hate them, just your least favorite.

Wonkey don't count as it has no quotes and just take your own's character's quotes you were playing before.

Personally, I don't hate Wurts quotes but she is pretty boring compared to others, 1 note, and enough of the florps!

The only character who’s quotes I don’t like is Wanda.

I don’t know what irks me more, the fact botherations is a real word or how often she says it.

Everyone else I enjoy reading their perspective of the world. They are all unique in how they speak and I find that fascinating.

But Wolfgang is a sweetheart.

I don't like Wurt because her dialogues feel like a copy of Wormwood's when explaining things, the thing I like of Wormwood's dialogues is that are like Wilson's but shorter and no terrible puns, but Wurt is feels like Webber's and Wormwood's personally mashed together with a bit of florp

Wes… I mean he isn’t deaf, he can clearly hear hounds approaching, yet he can’t even slap me in the face, spin me around and point at the incoming horde of hungry dogs? He may be a Mute… but that doesn’t mean he can’t Wiley Coyote his actions and hold up a hilarious sign “Ouch” “Yikes” or better yet…

”HOUNDS INCOMING!!”

Nope, instead Wes is a Jerk who silently sits and waits till the hounds are already gnawing on your leg to do anything.

Wanda. She is just a boring nagging woman who always repeats the same time jokes in a time loop, it is the main reason i din't like her. I don't have time to deal with her annoying quotes. However there was one time i enjoyed one of her quotes, her maxwell statue quote was nice. She has no personality and it just makes Wanda players look like nagging old woman.

Winona (She doesn't have a personality)

She is hearty and charming.

Wolfgang and Wickerbottom.

I find their playstyles bland at best, their drawbacks nonexistent and their status as 'the op, skill-less characters' incredibly annoying as forumites will raise hell if Klei decides to make these characters less powerful, like when Wicker's botany book got split into 2 during Reap what you Sow

Edit:

Whoops, I read the title as 'What character do you personally hate'. Now I see that it's about their personality.

I'd say that Wilson grew, in a bad way, over time. At first he had decent quotes but nowadays almost everything has to be a pun

I'll leave my gameplay thoughts here anyway.

Hard to say which character personality I don't like. Either I am completely neutral (and never played some characters) and I like character with situational exceptions.

I think the most I am bothered by Walter. Brave and fearless until hurt. Not even a realisation that something is going to hurt. It feels sort of dumb. Sort of unique gameplay at cost of character...

The second would Winona... Like I played her. I sorta love her. But I am internally pissed when she praises hard work and is disgusted by hadmade stuff. You need to put some hard job to do something handmade. It's done purely by human. Nothing is lazy about it. So why you don't like it? Also bulding automation is rather clever thing. Bulid something to automate, to do less work, to some point where all work is to press button (or insert nitre/gem). AND THIS IS LAZY AND SO PRAISED. fgjkfdl;jgkdl;fsaj

Wurt.

Winona is a hearty, hardworking, no-nonsense, punctual woman who admires dedication, automation, workers, & perfection while disliking handmade items & laziness. You can dislike her, but to say that she has no personality is blatantly wrong.

I personally quite like her assessment of wildlife. Disliking vultures for living off the hard work of others, liking bees for being incredible workers that look out for each-other, and pitying butterflies for having no work or responsibilities.

I can't stand the Wickerbottom quotes where she just says the scientific name of things, I get why she might label things as such since she is really well learned, but it just adds nothing for me and makes her extremely bland in my eyes.

I also agree with @abrocator about Warly, I adore his gameplay, and I get that he is a culinarian with experience, but all the "could use [ingredient]..." food inspections aren't all that interesting, maybe there could've been some fun quotes about his experience as a chef based on the dishes, but yeah. (I do like all of his non-food examinations and personality, though!)

Personally I like how Wurt gives you hints as to how vain she is, her love of cute(inverted) things, as well as her perspective on the various races of the constant, merm's perspective on magic, and the survivors and their habits unfiltered. Which you could very much miss if you don't examine things often I know most people think she's just a stupid one note character but there's a bit more there.

As for character quotes I don't like it's probably Wickerbottom.

He's not childish or stupid, he's a foreigner who's bad at speaking English. His vocabulary and articulation is lacking, but it's not because he's dumb.

Wurts quote for wood walls will always be a top 3 quote for me
