I've gone. that. deep.say what you want, it could work. and I make it work. I want a developer to listen and consider what I say I just want other fans to give constructive feedback on my headcanons. I think this is why he lives alone: "Wilson chose the path of an independent Gentleman Scientist after finding the university environment to be too stifling for a man of his ambitions. (The enormous bill the university sent him to pay for repairs to the chemistry lab had absolutely nothing to do with this.)" You're welcome. ok. not to sound rude but that is something everyone knows, I know you're poking fun, I would too, but I'm a little desperate for confirmed lore. was it unintentional, if so which character did you get to before you noticed the pattern? does the W mean anything? is this an alternate reality where those with W names are different than their other-letter peers? even though Wilson Percival Higgsbury is the main protagonist, canonically was on the nightmare throne, so much revolves around him, lil Wilson doesn't have much lore about his time before the Constant. he blew up his school's chemistry lab, he's in an abandoned house, and built the first portal. that's all we know about his homeworld days. I have theories and headcanons galore but that's all they are. I am asking a lot of questions, I know. I'm more or less a fictional world theorist. am I being nosy? maybe and I'm sorry. but I'm desperate. I wrote all the lore this whole time. Im feeling nice, so I’ll reveal a little secret: the entire game has been Wilson’s dream this whole time. That’s the reason why nobody ages, and when you die you can respawn; Wilson has been in a coma this whole time. Mike23Ua Posted January 12, 2023 Share Posted January 12, 2023 It’s always nice to see the dev team cracking jokes But to answer your question seriously the lore for this game is scattered all over the place and across many forms of Media, I would suggest you look them up on the games Wikipedia pages (don’t look to YouTubers and the like) the games actual in game compendium page will reveal some lore as well as the official animated cinematic's. (Animated Shorts) those provide a deep dive into the games lore and reveal the small details fans want to know more about such as: Who was Wolfgang in the Circus?, or How Wendy got Abigail’s Flower- both these things are revealed in their animated shorts. There’s also usually a nice lengthy compendium page that gets filled in with lore overtime. I know it’s not the answers you want, but the devs aren’t likely to take a deep dive into the questions you have. That said: you can find out many things that reveal lore yourself through playing the game as all the different characters & checking out their inspection quotes. For example: Maxwell has a Quote when inspecting a Butterfly that confirms they are in fact “Flying Flowers” this should (in theory at least) be enough of a hint for the player to attempt to capture them and Plant them into the ground as flowers. And if your on Xbox or PlayStation: Congrats that just earned you a hidden achievement! I am sure someone somewhere could maybe provide you with links to all the games (both DS, it’s DLCs & DSTs) lore if you ask around.
