DST has lost it's edge. [RANT!]

I remeber when I was a little years younger DST was an edgy, cool dark game with lots of edgy humor like Long Pig and Head Stones, but now? It's complete weak sauce. I know these features were not removed in the files but COME ON what is up with the moon crap? I am not afraid of no celestial champion and gestalts that literally raise my sanity. And also, I miss the mysteriousness of the old Ocean, and the new one is simply no good, like it's so boring! And I hate that the game has nerfed pirate raids to hell and back like what the hay guys? Klei is obviously catering towards newer players with their little kids mode updates coming out as of recent, I'm just so sick of it and this game which was once so dark and demeanor has become to lighthearted and silly, I think the part that DST started having an issue is when they just added way too many unnecessary HATS into the game, this at first was cute, they would sell us hats we could make with spools or we could get them from gift boxes that we get after a certain amount of playtime. But Klei has just gone too far when they added the stupid friggin ridiculous BANANA HAT into the game. Seriously??? 

Also stone fruit bushes need a nerf, the fact that Warly can now get bananas now and Wurt Walter Wortox and Wanda have been added (all OP characters) is simply astonishing to me!!

The game is far too easy now and it needs to be challenging again, now farming food is so easy there isnt even friggin disease anymore!!!

We need some new updates that are targetted towards veterans, when I heard terraria was going to be added o don't starve I EXPECTED master mode and duke fishron to be added but what do you know, IT WASNT

Final Note: Why does Klei have a discord now? At least, why is it so toxic? I tried to meet some people to join games with but they literally said the n slur in game and in the discord yourself there is lots of rudeness, cursing and simply innapropiate memes. I mean it is EXPLICITY stated in the rules of the memes channel DO NOT POST MEEMS in the other channels but what do you know? EVERYONE posted memes of wortox or wigfrid or something in the DST channels. I DONT WANT TO SEE YOUR MEEMS!

People claim “Minecraft is a little childrens game…” but even freaking Minecraft got an update that added Pillagers who storm into towns and attempt to kill out all the village people.

Actually- Minecraft shouldn’t even be Rated E there’s a lot of dark (albeit obscure) content in that game.

DS/DST is rated 13+ which is literally a Teen Rated game- on par with It Takes Two or Arkham Asylum/City.

Now I do not expect DST characters to suddenly start dropping curse words like the characters in It Takes Two do.. but some less light hearted, actual threatening weather seasons, some real survival content that doesn’t get Nerfed into non-existence, a new DLC the same size and scope of Shipwrecked or Hamlet would all sure as heck be nice.

If they refuse to add a feature that makes the pigs, the organic main design of the game a THREAT then I beg Klei to change the description not to call itself an Uncompromising Survival Game", otherwise that's just false advertising. Why do the pigs have berry bushes if they don't pick and eat them? Why don't starveing pigs attack wilson because they are desperate?

I don't frequent these forums, but it seems every time I come here, someone is complaining about being too awesome at the game. I'm not sure if this is a complaint or if this dude is patting himself on the back. Maybe Klei can add a feature to teleport you to the Fuelweaver on Day 1 so that you can beat him with an ax no armor. There are plenty of others who find this game to be challenging and fun. 

Good luck finding any other game that remains "challenging" after playing it for a decent amount of time. It sounds like you'd be better off playing Call of Duty and boosting up your KDR. That might make you happy.

1) Long Pig was removed because it was too dark for DST 

2) Its TOUCH stones not HEAD stones.

3) Alter aren't like the shadows, and there are some genuinely cool creepy stuff, like the Lunar Pengull

4) How was the SW Ocean (im assuming thats what you mean) mysterious? It was tropical and exciting. And the current ocean is still being updated so hold your horses there.

5) Ok I agree about pirate raids but I see Klei changing it in the next QOL update or Hotfix.

6) See the new Wicker rework, there are stuff there that makes it harder for new players. 

7) I do agree about it being less dark and creepy, but I feel like thats gonna change, since the new lore since to focus on Wagstaff and what Charlies doing down in the Archives. 

8) There's nothing wrong with making skins, they are a buissness after all, and u can always, oh i dont know, not get them/

9) The characters you mentioned take skill to fully utilise, like every character.

10) If u play the same game for a long time then of course its gonna be easy

11) Disease SUCKED 

12) Master Mode SUCKED (Also it was a fun crossover not an overhaul of the game)

13) I... What channels have u been seeing? The discord is really friendly most of the time and helpful, and usually its just ppl making light-hearted jokes.

In that vein DS lost it's edge too. Seriously, after I've completed adventure mode and played through all the DLC it really went downwards. Nothing was a challenge anymore, like what did Klei do with this game??? They didn't even update and still somehow ruined it! I don't know what changed but I'm mad and it's all Klei's fault!

It certainly wasn't that I stopped dying to beefalo's on first days of winter and got better with practice.

You're one interesting fellow to say that the game is easier when you say yourself you never go out in the ocean because it's too hard with xbox controls or don't fight raid bosses because you can't bother or sth, idk chief, kinda strange

What even is that point? Pillager raids only happen if YOU want them to happen, or you don't know how they work... either of which.
