The Beefalo doesn’t deal increased damage, but drastically takes less with the armor. Its a simple concept that was used in games as far back as the PlayStation 2 and Dynasty Warriors franchise. Which by the way... Mighty Warriors in that franchise DO Actually dismount before engaging into battle.. just putting that out there. There seems to be some sort of confusion regarding Wigfrid's character in this thread. I should point out that in the original context, there is no such thing as a "fighting" Valkyrie, even the Wagnerian ones. They all simply are. It's impossible to take them out of this context, since they are the very personification of battle itself; even their names translate into "battle" or something relating to combat ("wig" is ancient germanic for "battle"). Therefore it's natural and even expected to view them as warriors. I agree that the damage buff should translate into the ornery steed, there is no reason why it shouldn't. Plus, it fits her character absolutely perfectly, since she is based on Die Walküre's main protagonist, Brünnhilde, who has her own steed that plays a big part in the story. However, the only things I can even remotely see Klei implementing, especially considering they chose not to add them during the Wigfrid rework or YOTB, is just allowing her 25% (No, not +90 damage) damage modifier, resistance, and/or songs to apply to mounted beefalo. Working with her existing mechanics, instead of adding new ones. Well, dragoons were aa thing, their entire point was rising to the combat position with their horses, dismounting, and proceeding to fight. Though they were rifkemen soit's not too relevant to Wigfrid's predicement. As for your analysis, yes it would be great to have Wiffrid have some perks while fighting on her mount. It doesn't make too much sense that the beefalo would get her natural lifesteal abilities but it's perfectly natural that it coulf heak with the heartening ballad. Looking at its outfit, I’d assume it’s an ornery beefalo. So both gameplay trailers show Wigfrid on an ornery beefalo. What more is there to say?
