[YOTB] Costume Pattern Recipes

Recommended Posts

Heyo! So Year of the Beefalo is pretty fricking awesome right? Well a new mechanic in the new update is you can make costume patterns that you can then learn, the costumes you learn can then be applied to your beefalo at a Beefalo Grooming station which is essentially just a wardrobe for Beefalo.

The Costume Pattern Recipe and Sewing Machine work pretty much just like the crockpot, theres specific "ingredients" for some of the costumes and the such like that. So i'll be listing all the costume patterns and their recipes!

There are three scraps that are used to sew, those being the Formal, Festive and Fearsome scraps.

You also get a cute little doll with each costume pattern you sew! But anyways, on to the recipes

And that's all of the Costumes! You can of course mix and match the costumes, using a head from one costume set, and a body from another costume set. There's a lot of fun combinations you can make, so have fun image.thumb.png.494fbb2baeafee50899af992f988c82b.png: )

Here's all the dolls too. Theyre very cute : )

I might do guides/posts on some of the other mechanics, if you wanna see that. Let me know!

I think you can give them to the Innkeeper at the judge station to do... something? I'll have to check right now, hold on!

I think they just serve as a decor and remnants of the pieces you used to make it. The curio collector critiques each part, those being scariness, festiveness, formality. Though not 100% sure.

Correct!

You can also give them to Pig king for 3 gold each doll.

Thanks for sharing! The Ice costume is called "Frostbitten" in-game.

Ahh yes! Haha, sometimes I accidentally use the name its referred to in the code instead of the actual display name, I'll fix that. Thanks!

i think the dolls would look absolutely awesome on festive trees but sadly they cant go on the tree

We need a winter feast and hollow night tree rework so we can do that.:wilsondisapproving:

C'mon klei, let me hang hallowed night ornaments on my winter trees...

Where does it say that? I looked in the code of the game and the post and I saw no mentions of a standard beefalo doll.

Thanks for the recipes! And I have a question: If you learn a costume in one world, do you retain that knowledge in other worlds, like the cookbook recipes, or do you have to learn them again in each new world?

Nope, you gotta learn them again in each new world.
