Anyone got an idea of when Wagstaff will show up to collect the "Enlightened Shard" when missing giving it to him after Celestial Champion? Something more specific than "after some time"? It's been over 25 days and...nothing lol. Any way to trigger him to appear or force spawn him?

You can kill CC again, while he's gathering the energy you can offer him the shard

He also appears somewhere randomly. I forgot to give him the shard after the CC fight and found him on a random spot a few days later.

Yea I just went and traced almost every square inch of my map and found him in the last half of the last biome I was exploring lol. It was one of the ones that the moonstorms took place in. After over 25 days I don't get the impression he was going to come find me, I bet I had to go find him. Either way, probably going to have to beat the Champion again since the warbis stuff needs 1 shard each.

How much damage does Celestial Champion's laser do, exactly?

I know it's 150 damage and 75% to players, but when it attacks multiple targets, sometimes it will deal 120 damage to some targets instead of 150 damage. After that, it also seems to increase as the number of targets increases.

This is because it does an extra AoE around every target it hits, been a annoying bug ive been wanting to see fixed for a while now!

Is lightning damage (Like, an actual bolt of lightning) affected by how wet i am

Volt Goats damage reflex, Moongleam and Lunar Altar during monnstorm. NO.

Morning Star, Volt Goat Chaud-Froid and Volt Goats Attack deals between 1.5 and 2.5 times damage depending on the wetness value.

Lightning deals between 1 and 2 times damage depending on the wetness value.

"Lightning Damage" is very confusing.

As we know, Wolfgangs affinity skills gives him about +30% bonus damage vs opposite force, but every affinity perk also gives hidden 10% more damage. Does Wolfgang actually deal 40% bonus damage in the end? If not, his lvl 1 affinity skills are literally garbage cuz everyone else have it as a side bonus.

It's 30%.

  • Skill 1 gives a modifier of 1.1
  • Skill 2 gives a modifier of 1.2/1.1 (stacks multiplicatively with skill 1)
  • Skill 3 gives a modifier of 1.3/1.2 (stacks multiplicatively with skills 1 and 2)

So at skill 3, your total modifier is (1.3 * 1.2 * 1.1) / (1.2 * 1.1) = 1.3 or +30% dmg.

Wait for updates, DLC's for DS or a new solo game.

When will there be a Don't Starve Remake? The game is already 10 years old... And it is extremely outdated.

do you really think that is smart to update or release dlcs for a game less popular and played than dst when this has skin monetization? you complain about this non stop but makes no sense to expend atleast one year to release a dlc, at what cost??, instead of updating dst for free monthly or even 4 times per year while releasing skin packs at the same price than that hypothetical ds dlc...

without taking in count how messy and outdated is ds code and engine...

what about stacking it with affinity multipliers from items like the shadow reaper (and does it apply to planar damage)?

for example, would attacking a lunar enemy as a shadow aligned wolfgang with the reaper and void cowl result in 1.1*(38*1.1*1.3*2) + 1.1*(1.3*(18+5+4)) or ~158?

Yup, that calc is correct (although in most situations I'd expect the Wolfgang to have the +25 planar damage skill bringing the total to 193.908, or 222.508 after 6 hits).

For weapons we don't need to differentiate between player alignment and weapon alignment, they're all multiplicative (so far).

For armor, it's different because we have to worry about planar defense (not to be confused with planar entity resistance) and durability.
For reference, you can calc damage to health through armor like this:

Spoiler

player mods * ((phys dmg * armor resist * dmg absorption) + (plan dmg * armor resist - plan def))
- player mods refers to modifiers outside the armor, such as Wigfrid, garlic, shadow allegiance, and weremoose.
- armor resist is the alignment-specific bonus certain armors have. Each piece has 10% and stack multiplicatively (to 19%), although brightshade and void are unique in that they stack to 25% total instead of 19%

okay, one more question

what affinity multipliers apply to wolfgang's planar skills? is it only his affinity skills, or does it stack with weapon affinities as well? the numbers you got assume 25*1.3*1.1, which contrasts from what i was assuming (only 25*1.3)

Spoiler

if so all my numbers about his skill tree are wrong by 3.25 :c
