Polymer press breaking

So easy.
My polymer presses work all the time. I mean, ALL THE TIME, 24/7, every cycle.
And I use the petroleum of the refinery so I have no problems with coolant.
I don't like Glossy Deckos because they require a lot of dupe time, when the presses only need 1 dupe to transform oil into petroleum (and my primary source of energy is petroleum).

Could you explain what is going on here? I've made some fairly complex systems, but they don't hold a candle to the complexity of what you've just pictured. What provides the cooling? Why the doors under the presses? What happens to the condensed steam? Why the hell do you have 2,739,834kCal of fool stockpiled?

I use this style cooling when I used polymer presses.  The image is making lox with thermo regulators but the cooling design is the same and very simple.

You have a pump connected to a thermo sensor that sucks water out when it starts to get hot.

Then you have a water source(can be a filter if you don't have refined metal) that is connected to a hydro sensor that adds more water when the quantity of water is low enough.

These 2 things together self regulate and keep everything fine.

 

You need to use water with polymer presses since they emit steam.  Anything else will randomly pool up in random ways and will mess everything up.

I can guess at some of that.

The room is filled with Hydrogen.  In the far zoom screenshot, we see an AETN and a couple of Wheezeworts.  In fact, the coolest part of the room is around the AETN.  We can also see Liquid Pipes circulating around the room in the battery section.  This would suggest an Aquatuner elsewhere running a cooling loop.

The Steam produced by the Presses is meant to condense immediately, where it pools on the closed horizontal Doors to assist in cooling the freshly made Plastic, as well as transferring heat from the Press itself to the Metal Tiles.  Likely, the doors are controlled by the Clock Sensor visible on the close in shot of the Presses, opening all the Doors to drop the Water and Plastic down to a collection area below, where in the far out screenshot we can see an Auto-Sweeper and Conveyor Loader for getting the Plastic out, and a Liquid Pump for clearing out the water.  The Thermosensors visible in the close up shot are likely monitering the Metal Tiles as much as the atmosphere, when it gets close to overheat temperature it overrides the system.

You are almost all right.

The only thing you fail is the aquatuner part. The pipes only move petroleum from the refinery because with long pipes I can have enough petroleum until my dupes wake up and go back to work and refine oil again.

The only "cooling part" are the AETN and the two plants (because I dont have more).

And you forgot to mention the pressure sensor of the polymer press. I use it to manually control the presses in case I no longer want more plastic because I can control it without needing a dupe.

At first I did not know that the presses can be turned. :(
But in reality it is for the steam to condense and when that is in contact with the metal, they help to cool the presses. :D

It´s really very simple, that's why I don't explain anything. Just read the @PhailRaptor explanation. 

Simple setup:

wheezewort - press from wolframite (best heat transfer) - wheezewort with diamond-tempshiftplates in the middle row (one above the plantingpot)

Thermal sensor shutoff at 50°C. In an ice biom you can go up to 60°. That way my presses (i usually have more) are running 90% of the time, with short cool down bursts.
