_Q_
Space biome seems fun but I have a problem with tons of unneeded regolith everywhere, I need to get rid of that somehow.
martosss
Easy way - dig it? Hard way - heat it to 1400° so it becomes magma?
SackMaggie
You can DESTROY any ore you don't need from this method. build container surround it with tile on all 3 side (leave one side for entrance/exit) destroy container build tile above ore build tile block entrance build tile on top of ore by diagonal build either from left, right or from above if you want destroy all tile If that not clear I've images for you Spoiler deconstruct and it's gone! IT'S PATCHED DON'T TRY

I already have more than enough, game will get to the limits if meteor showers continue, all this stuff laying around, so many objects that it slows down the game. Albryant
Why not turn it into glass or ceramic?

Lilalaunekuh
If you want there it´s not that hard to build a "trash bin" (a container which deletes whatever you put inside) => Just use an autosweeper to drop everything on one tile where no dupe can reach the materials. (Debris can only add up to 100t or 5 times a full storage compactor, so the excess will be delete every save/load cycle)

How do you force deodizers to use regolith instead of sand?

You can grind the ceramic into sand and now you can make glass 2. If you run automation you can force it. (I only supply my water sieve with regolith)
Man in the Mist
You can also use regolith in water sieves to turn them into polluted dirt, which can then be composted into regular dirt or stuck in a Puft farm to offgas and feed the pufts.

But that way alone will never result in some ceramic/glass. (But my water sieves are mostly used to generate dirt for my tempshift plates)
Man in the Mist
Okay? It's still another way to use up regolith.
Lilalaunekuh
Didn't want to offend you, if it sounded a bit harsh. (Our topic is still how to use regoltih and not how to make xyz)
Sasza22
You can always feed it to hatches instead of sand. Actually i didn`t check if hatches eat it. I assume they do. Extra coal doesn`t hurt.

Nativel
It's my espeacial curse for those who not so long time ago scream about: - I'm lack of sand, I'm lack of sand aaaa!, we can't produce sand! How to clean water?! now you unhappy?! wanna magma insted? 8-E````
Sevio
I plan to Magmaficate my regolith... Then once it is igneous rock I can feed it to hatches! I still need to work on improving the extraction part with the steam turbine and maybe make the whole thing a bit more compact.

_Q_
Seriously this is getting silly. What 'm supposed to do with 5000 tons of regolith cluttering my base with heat and all that stuff. And its raining more regolith all the time. This 5000 tons is just from small 30 tiles opening area, there is like other 5000 or more laying around in the space area that I closed off. There is no way in hell I will ever use that much of this stuff, storing it is also just a time sink. I guess the whole meteor showers need some changes, its just cluttering the base way to much. Sevio
Well, since you can't delete it anymore in solid form by building over top of it, I think the fastest way to use it up would be to use it as fast as you can in water sieves. Each one you run can delete 1 kg/s of regolith and puts out 200 g/s of polluted dirt. How to get enough polluted water for that? Well, showers, cleaning your carbon dioxide with carbon skimmers instead of feeding slicksters are the easiest ways I can think of but that's not likely to be enough if you have few dupes. Polluted water used to be able to "infect" clean water and turn it polluted if it surrounded a water tile on 3 sides but I don't think that is possible anymore in current builds.
