morning star - a must-have for larger cave base, to deal with worms (permanently wet)

I didn’t know worms are permanently wet. I thought it was just the giant tentacle. What else is?

I just found another actually useful use for the Lazy Forager (apart from the ruins' holes): we can pick up stuff from our sanity station without risking picking a flower. Birds leave seeds, moleworms die there every now and then (thanks Abby) and if someone combines it with the bee farm like me, then there are stingers and sometimes frog legs too.

Nobody told you to burn enemies in The base, you always pull them AWAY from The base.

Hm, I should have expressed myself better, but that case now is just a nice memory about mistakes I made while learning the game. Of course one shouldn't lit enemies in the base! :D

Torch. It lights up enemies like fire darts and is more durable and Common.

Why would anyone want to do that in the first place anyway? Killing things with fire usually costs you some of the drops.

Well, It is very usefull when it comes to fight with the Klaus, or any other boss, to quickly lower their health.

Torches also get some mobs in a "AGHHWGH I'm On fire!!" state which makes them loose interest in you temporally, and you can use that distraction when dealing with multiple mobs E.G: killing a rook while the bishop runs around on fire.

But yeah there's always the risk of  screwing up and burning everything around you, or burning the loot.

Some ideas, not proven/tested thoroughly:

  • fire staff - the only safe place to use this is in the ruins; when storming ruins, I set the bishops on fire to prevent them shooting at me (I'm not a fan of the rook-destroying-everything strat). Works particularly well with Willow (little to no fire damage taken)

Any ideas for these?

  • phlegm (I think it's edible - is it a veggie/fruit? Might be an alternative to powdercake to keep bunnymen out during the day)
  • spider hat (I'm thinking of using depth dwellers to fight splumonkeys while I wall off the pods for easier farming; might also prove useful in the labyrinth in combination with a ranged weapon (ice staff) - I just wish it lasted longer)

Take it to that spider forest you neglected to clear out early on when it would be easy and start some wars. Go back to base with two stacks of silk.
