If you're not familiar with Fifty Shades, I'd recommend not looking it up. It's rather pornographic.

Come on, that's not even the best part! We all know its the thrilling character names, like Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, not to mention my two OC's Justin Case and Timothy Shadowbark the XLIIth

I very much agree, and I'd say it's one of the nice things about the game.
I don't think I noticed that strong difference from say, other videogames, until you mentioned it.

This has to be one of the reasons I like Don't Starve so much. It can be charming without being fanservide-y. Broadly speaking, I feel like many of the best indie games are good for that. Triple-A stuff is getting better as well, when you look at something like Horizon Zero Dawn.

I know on an intellectual level that you have memes for every occasion, yet it still manages to baffle me how you have memes for EVERY occasion.

How did my innocent little art thread degrade into this? What have I done?

I'm afraid you brought this upon yourself, friend. It's good nonsense though.
You did a pretty realistic-looking Woodie here, though, now I look even closer. Like, the way you draw hands is really good, and his nose is very good as well.
The misty background is kind of mysterious too. Like, over the tops of the trees there.

And that's merely a glimpse into an 87 page rabbit hole of profanity and sin.

This was actually supposed to have no lines at all, but it looked too weird for me so I kept the pencils in.

Thanks for the hands compliment, too. Some things never cease to be difficult, and it's good to hear that the hands look decent.

Willow could be blushing for many reasons. Maybe the book itself is destroying her once innocent mind >u<

I wonder what the shipwrecked characters reaction to such a book would be :p

Also the cover is fantastic XD maybe in the future we can do one with Wilson (and make Willow blush even more if she likes Wilson in this AU)

Edit: There was no way I was gonna read 3 pages of replies so I skimmed over most of the stuff. Hope I didn't miss anything juicy >u<

Real talk: Was Willow ever innocent? The teddy bear has to be a ruse.

I'm not as comfortably familiar with the Shipwrecked guys yet. We may never know.

You want one with Wilson? Wasn't this enough?

By the way, it should be noted that all this drivel isn't canon in ANY universe. Except maybe yours, if you so choose.

And this was drawn without Willow having any extra feelings for Wilson. It was a case of "Hey, Nerd-who-can-read-and-isn't-Wickerbottom, mind reading this book to me and Wolfgang?" And then she couldn't handle the awkwardness of the book and the fact that it was being read to her by someone of the opposite sex. The puns didn't help either.

Hey, Willow, it could be worse. It could be Maxwell up on that boulder.

Aaand I totally understand you didn't want to spend the time of your day reading three pages of non-content.

I don't know all that well either but I can try my take on them...

Walani (probably laying on the shoreline/against her board, wearing sunglasses with it discarded at her side): Books? I'd rather watch it as a movie. You get through it faster Bl

Warly: What a tasteless story! It lacks originality -n-

Wilbur: Ooh! Ooh! Aah! Aah!

Woodlegs: Eh? I don' remember keepin' a book in me ol' treasure *raised brow*.

(I tried. Though I think I got Wilbur spot on >u< )

This one is cute.  But that's not the Canadian flag, is it?   Oh well, as usual the limited color is fetching, like Minespatch said.

Is there really a 'Canada Day' that this was made for or am I taking it too literally?

The flag drawn is the Red Ensign, which was the Canadian Flag before the current one was adopted in the late 1960s.

July 1st 1867 is the date of Canada becoming a country of its own rather than a British colony. Similar to you Americans' Fourth of July.

Canada is still tied closely with Britain via the commonwealth. Also, independence isn't such a big deal when you don't have to fight over it.

I've been trying Sketchbook Summer. Though I'm really behind so far, have a little sketchdump.

Actually, I think it's neat to see him crying - Man that sounds weird. But I mean. We can't be happy all the time, can we? I have a sketch somewhere with Wigfrid crying too - Because again, even if someone can be primarily resilient, happy, or inexpressive, surely tears occur somewhere at sometime for everyone, even if shed in silence.
For Don't Starve, a world of insanity and emotional stress, it seems like crying is all the more accurate.
The middle one clearly has a glare twinged in there as well, which definitely adds to the development and expression.

I'm really liking all of these so far. I wish I could 'like' something more than once.... It's very interesting to see your view on the characters illustrated.

Your way of drawing Wes nice too, fittingly scrawny at any rate.

This has to be one of my favorites, I love that structure with the long fire pit there, and the long DS-style farmland. The atmosphere of it all seems almost festive a little, with the bright fire and long shadows, and many's presence.
Like in Christmas, even when the sky is dark and overcast and if you live somewhere where it snows and it's getting late, but the bright lights in shop windows or strung around trees give some sense of festivity, this feels the same in a slight way.

Not to confirm or deny any of that but out of all the male characters in DS (especially in a dating sim), I'd probably choose Wilson. Though it depends on his personality and type. He seems more about science and logic while I bask in the glory of mythical creatures (my persona is half-dragon for crying out loud XD ) so yeah.

I also really like this. The idea of a shelter and farm space like that makes me wish it was in the game. Even though they are in a hellish world, this has a sense of warmth and coziness(?) to it.

I have at least two emotional breakdowns I need to draw. Not Wilson's per se, since everyone there is going to be pushed to the edge at some point.

Well, it's the process of elimination, right. Not into women? That's half the cast gone. Maxwell is too old, Webber is too young. Two more gone. There are some communication issues with Wolfgang and Wes. That leaves Wilson and possibly WX-78, who probably isn't keen on you.

Personally I'd just go hang out with WX and watch the drama unfold from a safe distance.

Ah, personas. I had a robotic drill sergeant that was to be my persona about a year ago. The idea was that I was supposed to strive and achieve the work ethic of a literal robotic military officer. Never caught on.

Maybe I'll make a little cardboard cutout and put it on my desk. Whenever I'm slacking I'll look at it and ask "What would robot-me do?" The answer is: "suck it up and work, you schlub".

I'm on grounds with Dragon - It really depends on personality and type.
And with personality being dependent on interpretation, it's hard to say.

I like quiet people, universally for any relationship I tend to get along more with them. Wilson might talk too much about his science or be too-closed minded for me to have a real logical debate with him - His 'science' doesn't look like real science, I think it's something we're supposed to laugh at/another amusing caricature.

No one can beat Wes for silence, and we can suppose he can still write? I wouldn't mind being his pen-pal.     Not interested in typical dating, so that puts everyone in the 'elimination' zone for me.

It's funny you chose WX-78.

I never developed 'personas.' All my characters have some tiny slice of me somewhere, but none of them shares enough to be called what others call a 'persona.'

That's cute, seeing him in a blanket and stuff while it's raining.  I wonder if they're telling stories under that thing.  I don't think singing would be an option because some of them would despise it while others might enjoy it.  But they might tell stories?

I thought for sure that at any case, WX-78 would tell them to stop no matter what was sung.   True that all might not appreciate Maxwell's gurgling. I imagine Webber wouldn't.

Wigfrid seems loud enough to TRY to sing, and Wolfgang too - Both seem like they might try.  Though with the carol emotes - Wolfgang might stand a chance, but it looks like Wigfrid is better suited for war-cries than the choir.
