739626_1452793947 Posted June 6, 2016 Share Posted June 6, 2016 well @Gingerbread for one, did ban me with no evidence whatsoever. As a matter of fact, he doesn't even know why I am banned. He claims it was for griefing which I never do, and if I did, show me. Show me the screenshot with the report filed against me. The real reason behind the ban was 1st, not even him who banned me, it was another admin, and at the time, my brother had been using my account to play DST at the time, back in its beta days (good times). And his actions were not of the griefing nature, but of the general jerk. He was being dumb, and just plain not listening. Fast forward a few days, I find out, and try to explain the situation to @Gingerbread, and he tells me to ask him again in 6 months, so I wait said 6 months, I bring it back up to him, and he does not even allow me to state anything, he just says, "Well, your staying banned, I don't like to unban people." Fast forward another 4 months, I enter his group, and comment asking why he never let me share my case about my ban, and what circumstances would allow me to be unbanned. He said if an elephant could fit through a 0.1-inch diameter hole, that he would then unban me. Then I proceed to argue that the undeveloped fetus of an elephant probably could fit through said hole. He then says that this is getting out of control, he proceeded to prevent me from posting on the group profile. 2 days later kicks me from the group. I never got to even say anything about the matter to him. He just was arrogant and not willing to listen to me or anyone I tried to reach out to him through. All in all, I would appreciate if he was a lot more open about these issues, instead of keeping his door closed 24/7, except when he's banning someone. Thank you for taking your time to read this. I assume another person got banned from the small server chain called 'Gingerbread cookies' and is upset about it, since the head admin/owner doesn't hear anyone out to get themselves unbanned; bans are permanent. Which is perfectly fine and alright seeming as it is a private server and no person has a right to be there. There are also many alternative servers out there, and if none fit a person's tastes then the person could easily just host their own. DST is fairly cheap on the bandwidth, though the CPU requirements on a single-threaded basis can get pretty high. That said, I'd rather go back to jokes about the cookie armada. Wiping out all gingerbread? Perhaps his rules are a bit strict, but overall dealing with griefers is nothing to be lenient with, as Gingerbread as toleration of both griefers and players alike. This guy thinks he is the only griefer in the server so expects me to listen. Wake up and realize that this is a public server and I got lotta griefers everyday everytime. if you are griefing, being a troll etc. I ban you and I won't remove. It is simple. My server my rules.. Don't you want? There are lotta servers and I can show you where to play.. What you gotta understand is, he who wanna play in a server, can find himself thousands of servers. I don't want you! I did not tell him BUT, that time was final exams time not damn midterms. I only told him that, I dont really care who did that, what I care is which account did that, and no matter what I will punish that account. You are responsible of your account. I cannot listen to your excuses everytime your brother (or yourself) does same things. I don't care and I cannot know who did that. When it was close to 2 months (like 2-3 days left) and he told me something weird like he does now. He blames others but does not see the problem in himself. From the structure of the sentence, I saw that he sees himself not guilty but sees me guilty after that I decided to per-ban this guy. Well this is not the only reason that I know this guy was being useless in other servers too. I heard that couple of times and I also know that same guy is banned from Strictly Unprofessional for being a nuisance like a week or 2 weeks ago. Yes I banned you and I will never remove because I don't want trolls, griefers, leechers in my servers. If someone can do that once (for the sake of joy), he can do that everytime, everywhere, but this time he will do more discreetly.. What I see is, some people grief on purpose to test if I will really ban. When I ban the prick, he tries to cry everywhere, opens topics or simply insists to contact me. Why don't you make your own server? I am not the only player who got right to make a server. Make your own server and play and ban me. I can give you my KU id too don't worry . I got enough courage to give you my KU id. Not hiding behind an unknown 5 message name. I am here. Note: I would use tempo ban option if klei offers a better tempo ban system. The current system resets all tempo bans and acts like they are never banned upon a server restart. I am looking for quality, not quantity. If my concern was the quantity, I would easily put a mod to prevent all griefing and let everyone come in. I just wanna keep my servers as vanilla as I can so I need these radical solutions. I will even ban the very last griefer on the planet till no griefer is left in the whole klei universe to come and harass my community.
