Make Depth Worms unable to surface on rocky and artificial turf like Eyeplants.

They're almost a boss mob and come in waves very frequently after some time in the caves. As a way to get some breathing room, i suggest they're unable to surface on rocky, ruins or artificial turf (except for maybe wooden and carpet).

They will follow you around but won't be able to attack you while standing in this type of turf. Though they'll attack you once you get off it. This way, you'll just have some time to prepare but not be able to get rid of them completely unless you want them to amass at the edge of the turf.

This will make living for a long time in caves less tedious and will make ruins hard again, as right now worm waves clear the damaged clockworks and monkeys for you.
 

Worst part when your first climb down to the caves after being strangled by monsters on surface, you'll come across a worm already in a rocky turf and instantly kill you. That was the worst experience from them ever >:C

Jeez, I can use my time machine to eradicate a few of them, except dapper ol' me, of course.

i voted no cause they've already nerfed all the other horrific stuff to death. or given characters stat boosts. dealing with hounds and deerclops used to be a lot tougher before they improved the hound tooth drop rate. i say nay keep part of the game intense.

This is in no way nerfing their stats, just delaying the inevitable so I don't have to stop what I'm doing every 24 minutes. Besides ruins are too easy with worms. They kill all splumonkeys and Damaged Clockworks for you.

They'll be watching you though. Always watching.

From the side of the rocky terrain. The moment you stick your big toe over it they'll bite it off. 

 

I do like the idea though, it makes sense. 

I vote yes for ruins turf only. It makes the most sense.

That's what bother me the most really. First Allied Clockworks were OP because they could kill the Enemy ones without retaliation. They fixed that, but introduced worms to take care of things for you...
