(I need) Harmless prank ideas to try on your fellow players!

Y'all have any cool prank ideas to try on a friend?

Like the end is nigh is funny and all, but while that might've have been done for the kicks and gags it usually results in a kick or ban. 

I'd like to hear some ideas for a more muted form of trolling. Like placing a structure slightly more left than where it usually is when no ones looking. Or some minor disruption in the organization of the storage area. Stuff like that but, maybe, slightly more extreme than that.

I'm not looking for any griefing ideas, I got plenty of those, just looking for ways to be a not so minor nuisance.

Depending on if your playing with your close friends, would likely determine what I would consider “harmless”

For starters I play on endless worlds because I hate wasting colossal amounts of time and dying to lose all that progress- usually when a game becomes a repetitive process of doing the same thing over and over and over and over again I grow bored and quit.

That said- these are my best friends and the worlds on Endless mode… so-

The Classic Christmas wrapped gifts full of spiders is always fun.

This isn’t considered griefing amongst my group of friends, but I do not recommend you doing that to strangers.

Replacing all the areas carrots with Mad science lab grown Carrats is also a good laugh.

Hah! I'd never try anything malicious on a pub. The last one is good, though it's rare to find unpicked carrots on the ground after 50 or so days.

I believe regrowth works on carrots, but they’d probably never think about it, just grow em in a field and let them loose

I just loved when I joined pub, rush bee queen to wear the hat 24/7 and just before the bowing animation I say "Bow to your queen !!" and add "Yeah that's what i tought" just after.

To Wormwood I usually come close, then say "Is dangerous to go alone, take this!"... and give them manure. Wormwoods usually don't mind this.
Instead of aggresive creatures, I packed a "present" full of Wobsters. They scream in funny way and funny walk later.
With friend I recently few times "pushed" out of border in caves someone afking. He was a ghost anyway. Usually I do this on boat with critters.

Since Clean Sweepers are so cheap now, I would consider changing every single structure skin in a megabase world to their default a pretty harmless prank.

Edit: As a bonus, you could start by collecting all the flowers by the end of spring and pull this off during the summer, and hide all the Clean Sweepers

gift/bundle full of mosquitos, do it.

I always love seeing reactions when someone just opens a gift and suddenly 40-80 mosquitos pop out.

This is my favorite: Get some ice and build a tent or better yet let them build one. When they are sleeping in the tent burn it and quickly use ice on it to extinguish the fire, this will interrupt their sleep and save the tent for remaining uses.

Go to your friend's house and smash their console, but make sure dst isnt open or the world could be corrupted. Wouldn't want to cause any permanent damage now.

Fill a chest with gun powder and light it from a safe distance with a fire staff when they get close.

Run up to one of your friends as wonkey at 20hp or less left, eat a red cap to die and drop all your trinkets, watch your friend rage as they're forced to play the boring monkey character.

Fill their base with balloons as wes, eat all of their sanity foods to accomplish this

Go to pearl and get yourself a bunch of shell bells, then go to their base and place the shell bells everywhere.

They are easy to clean up with a hammer and dont break anything. And they make a BUNCH of noise

Relocate slurpers to the surface. They're extremely easy to dodge but if the people you're playing with are public players they will probably find a way to die to them so you might want to pen them somewhere if that's the case. A penned slurper is less of a prank since it's entirely harmless instead of mostly but it would still be funny cause they make weird faces and would become a hazard if someone wanted to build something where it's penned up.

Another thing I like to do sometimes is unstack items in chests and make little pictures with them. Like I'll move everything out of one chest and make a smiley face or a cross with a bunch of quarter stacks of grass.

You can make things that hurt you if you walk directly into them like fire nettles. If you want to be hardcore you could make a fire nettle maze that leads to the crock pots or something, but that'd be a ton of effort.

You used to be able to equip the incorrect head so you could do things like be Wendy with a beard, it would always have people asking about it and it was funny to act like you don't know what they're talking about and you're just Wendy, placing something down like a meat effigy if they ask you to summon Abigail as proof. But for some reason Klei patched it out even though it was harmless and you had to super go out of your way to do it.

Bundle and replace their fresh Crockpot food in the Ice Box with a much more spoiled version of the same amount. Cook the same amount of food and use Toadstool for a quick spoiling.

I normally just put random things in my friends inventory when he’s not looking. Poop, rot, seeds, etc. Or when he’s completely done with a build, I like to wear my bush hat when he passes by. Makes him wonder why there’s a random bush growing in the middle of the kitchen. When he gets his shovel out to try and dig it up, I just get up and walk away.
