Isn't odd that every other creature you catch and place in your inventory can be kept alive by feeding them (ie. birds with seeds, moleworms with rocks, spiders with meat, bees with literally everything) but not fish (freshwater or ocean) of all things. Doesn't it make sense that the food such as berries and seeds you can use as lures be extended as food for your fishies while you have them in your inventory. Sometimes I just wanna keep a pet fish and not have it starve to death (and to keep live inventory mob management consistent). No, keeping them in the tin fishing bin doesn't constitute as a pet fish as you can't take them with you and I don't wanna bundle them either. I remember seeing an idea around here for Wurt having her own version of the spectacler box but for fishes and itd prevent their spoilage, which I thought sounded like a fun idea. One of my problems with Wurt is fish ends up taking a lot of your inventory I feel, with it being tradable to the Merm King and needed for crafting the craftsmerm houses, so I'd appreciate having something like that. The fact this has never been allowed leads me to believe Klei is against it. It's kinda weird considering you can do it on a boat, but boats can be in inconvenient places. Try making your world loop always, branch never and then you can take your fish to all 4 non-corners of your world. Here's an idea for a backpack. Has 5 slots (4slots combined to make a big slot in the middle) Placing a fish in the middle slot (the bowl) allows it to be viewed by others so you can show of your fish and lasts forever. It requires moon shards for the bowl and it's unlocked after the celestial orb has been upgraded. Kinda like this: Also I need an excuse just to add more moon crafts. Faintly Macabre Posted May 3, 2022 Share Posted May 3, 2022 This might have been fine before ocean fishes, but doing it now would immediately make the ice bream and scorching sunfish complete and virtually effortless solutions to hot and cold. They're already really good as it is, but at least right now you need to be able to make bundling wrap and carry around rope or switch them in and out of a bin to take advantage of them.
