Yeah, but at that point it would have taken just shy of half the Don't Starve franchise's life to rework 12 characters. I don't like to rush Klei, but I really want them to prioritize the reworks, since they were the major focus until Klei announced RoT, which was concluded 8 months ago. I like the little seasonal events as much as the next guy, but if given the choice between a character rework and some summer event where you, I dunno, play badminton with Antlion or something, I'm choosing the character rework. Well that and I mean.. Wilson kinda was the one character out of all of Maxwells potential past victims to actually manage to make it through all 5 randomly generated worlds of torture and choose to show pity upon Maxwell and still free him, becoming prisoner to the same shadow throne that had corrupted Maxwell & is Currently Corrupting Charlie. This is the official Canon Starting sequence to DST: Wilson’s Reign on the Throne is where DST begins.. and as such- He should gain some cool new abilities to showcase he’s actually progressed from DS to wherever we’re at now with DST. Woodie learned how to create totems to transform into his other Werecurse formations with the help of Wickerbottom who he did not Meet until Maxwell and Wilson built the Jury Rigged Portal Together pulling all the Survivors over from their own separated Realms of existence: All into the same Area. Which makes me question how Warly or Wormwood wound up there at all but that’s a topic for another story.. Point is: Wilson was the main Hero & Maxwell was the main Villain of the Original Game: Their Reworks should reflect that. For people who have played Solo DS: Even WES is trapped in an invisible wall Maze Maxwell has locked him in and the only clue as to “Why” is Maxwells Quote: “He Displeased Me..” Wes’s Rework animated short may have given a clue to this “displeasing” Because Wes accidentally enters the constant instead of the man Maxwell originally wanted, and not only did he trade places with this man.. but he ALSO brought those Pesky Crows into the constant with him when he got sucked in! Theres a “story” being told with these Reworks & Wolfgang’s has been the Biggest lore reveal yet: Without Maxwell granting Wolfgang extreme might.. Maxwell would have died in that train crash, we also have a “Clue” for Wickers upcoming short as well: Mysterious Fire in New York Library.. And what about WX78 created by the Mysterious Wagstaff with the sole intent to explore the constant? Get ready guys!! They saved the biggest Lore Reveals for the last few Reworks remaining. Idk about the community at large but I really don’t want the lunar arc to be over it has been so interesting and has brought forth some of the prettiest visuals DS has ever seen and it still has so much potential and room to expand I think. If I recall correctly, in a really really old post when Warly was announced, it was stated that he used a boat to sail all the way from Shipwrecked to DST, as for Wormwood I have no clue and I don't think they ever said anything about how Wormwood got into DST at any point in time. But also Mike & Sinanco are right, Wilson deserves something after everything he has done in the canon.
