it seems webbers dad has butterflys in his workshop alredy and is done whit "butter work" so webber is sad that he cant help his dad anymore

Wagstaffs Telipad is shown for a split second. A clue that this happens after Wagstaff's Constant-Adventure? (maybe after Wagstaff canonically found the Throne?)

PS: Some say Wagstaff can't be his Grandpa since his Grandpa is shown in the picture. This might be a red herring. People usually have two Grandparents and the Grandpa in the picture looks like he's on the mothers bloodline. Maybe Wagstaff trusts his son enough to include him in his super secret science projects?

Edit: Noone in Webbers Family has The Wagstaff-Warly-Signature fat nose though so idk..

pretty sure this shows his dad was an etymologist. perhaps he was looking for major breakthroughs in his field researching the constant spider

So I've been researching and took a look at every Scottish clan there is (and good golly, there are many of them!) to figure out what Tartan Webber is wearing, to possibly find hints about his family.

These are the pictures of reference I used:


I have found just one clan that resembles the Tartan used in his design, and lo and behold:



It is a Tartan of the Armstrong Clan!!!

For those not too knowledgeable about Scottish Clans, not only did the great Arctic explorer and Royal Navy officer Sir Alexander Armstrong come from the Armstrong Clan, it is also the Clan of Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon!
Given the current Lunar theme, even if not intentional, this design choice is incredibly amusing and fitting!

Adding to that, the Clan's motto is "INVICTUS MANEO", translating to "I remain unvanquished", which I also find fitting for Webber's character.

The compendium states that an "old acquaintance... came to the house beseeching [Webber's] father for his expertise on a strange and secretive project..." 

So I highly doubt Wagstaff is related to Webber, he is merely someone from Webber's father's past.

And on the topic of secret things... is nobody gonna wonder about Webber's actual name? I don't think his parents would have actually named him Webber, and then it turns out "Oh no! He's a human-spider hybrid now!" like, either that's an amazing coincidence of the universe or the parents planned it from the start, and I don't think either is very likely. 

I want to know what Webber's real name is. :((( 

Edit: I also noticed in the trailer that the narrator makes good sure that he never refers to Webber other than "the boy."
