Fullerene on no planets 50k out

Recommended Posts

I have been unable to find Fullerene on any carbon asteroids, i have 3, 2 at 10km and 1 at 50km, what do i do??

Can it be found anywhere else?

EDIT:

Im confused, no wikis mention where fullerene is found

https://oxygennotincluded.gamepedia.com/Starmap

except for here: https://oxygennotincluded.gamepedia.com/Fullerene

is fullerene under the world composition with the ??? until you explore it with research modules? if so i have explored all my carbon asteroids and it has no fullerene, do any other planets have it?

I'm also not a fan of space without benefits. I think there should be a lot more guaranteed resources there. Until then I will reroll maps and check with debug beforehand.

seed browser tool is better than debug.  you can check planets and geyser type without spoiling map surprises

Now that you guys mentioned it I was hit by the fear of having the same scenario in my current run. I never had this issue before launch and I wonder how rare it is right now. More experienced cosmonauts, is this fairly common or just lack of luck?

It's not optimal, but you can make liquid oxygen by using hydrogen as a coolant and thermos regulators to cool down the hydrogen.

Way, Waaaay back before we had space, this is how we made LOX from polluted O2 to clean it up without using precious sand.

Here is my old setup I used to turn pO2 from a vent into liquid O2 to cool my base with and provide air for my dupes.

The seed browser cannot possibly tell you if you have only abyssalite in your first 10 planets. Rare resources are not tied to seed, they are generated each time the map is generated randomly. You must confirm with debug or programmatically after creation.

Not using the seed to determine space spawns is...very odd, and in this case, highly annoying. The whole point of seeds is to be able to share/reuse the same map with the same stuff to find.

You can't without using super coolant, unless you resort to exploiting the fact that gases/liquids won't change state in pipes if the packet is below a certain size.

I'm pretty sure there's a way if you're willing to make an effort of getting your hands on that first little bit...

Haven't tackled this one yet, but I've had an idea in the back of my mind for a while...

Waaait, planet resources aren't deterministic (that is, based on a seed)?
