They spawn inside of the caves, but when they exit it they appear right above of the player.

You could try, but you see, Vampire Bat attacks won't stop until your turn them off from World Gen Options when starting new world.

Should have clarified, I just wanted to make a cave that would have no bats inside it ever, for a mod.

oh, then it will work out just fine, Bats don't spawn normally in Caves.
