After barely escaping through the Molten Gateway, our survivors plummet headfirst into the ruins of a sickly city ruled by a ravenous beast. Work together to cook fine dishes and placate the Eternal Gnaw's hunger to avoid the curse of its terrible plague. Cook well enough, and you may even get to go home.

The Gorge is a free limited time 3-player co-op challenge with tons of new skins, emotes, items and more. Your goal is to cook and offer food on the Altar of Gnaw, but you'll need all the cooks in the kitchen to keep it fed, so work together to survive!

F.A.Q.

What is The Gorge?
The Gorge is a new limited time event that we are creating for Don’t Starve Together. During this time players can earn event themed skins and rewards that are only dropped during the event.

Yeah, but WHAT is The Gorge?

The Gorge is played on official Klei servers that are available only during the event. There are no community hosted servers during this event.

What else is in The Gorge?
- With The Gorge we have added a bunch of new stuff for players to collect.
- New character skins, emotes, item skins and more. In total over 200 items.
- New free on-demand dedicated event servers (Gorge Only).
- Tons of new main menu UI additions and changes.
- Simple Matchmaking with friends / community groups.
- Updated drop system (Now 4 items per Chest - Gorge only).
- New Item sets available for purchase
- More event level progression.
- And more!

If I play the regular game during the event, can I still earn skins?
You can. However, with one big difference. All common drops will now reward an event chest that contains Gorge event items. Regular common items will return after the event.

Is The Gorge free?

Yes! Events are free for everyone who owns DST. Players will have the option to purchase a single character’s Victorian Skin Set shortly after launch.

We hope that with this mechanism, we can both continue creating great free content while also supporting the development team. In addition, this method of funding allows us to provide content to all our players, instead of splitting the player community if we implemented it with a DLC paywall.

(Skins packs will be sold shortly after launch)

When does the Gorge end?
The Gorge will last a little over 3 weeks from the time it launches, ending September 18th.

Don't Starve Together Patch 1.29 - 08/27/2018 (PlayStation 4)

- Start of The Gorge event.
- Added the ability to select the game's language in Options->Language.
- Fixed a crash in the main menu when pressing the circle button on Player 2's controller before Player 2 is signed in.
- Fixed a crash when the game fails to restore a backup of a player's damaged save data.
- Fixed being unable invite players to a game when there was only one opening on a server.
- Fixed an issue where Bearger spawned at the wrong time.
- Fixed a rare crash caused by haunting a crock pot while it is cooking jellybeans.
- Fixed a bug on clients where broken fences did not clear pathfinding.
- Fixed a bug causing baby beefalo to sometimes split from their herd when fully grown.
- Fixed a bug preventing herds from merging properly.

i do recommend playing solo a few times to test recipes and stuff if u want to become good at cooking bc i find it quite hard to learn it without being a bit of a setback for a team, also it s fairly easy to win it solo once u get it.

Just beat yesterday, Looking forward to get all achievements. My main problems is that there is barely any people to play with and add to this that some tend to grief or serve dishes that don't go.

@JanH and @CharlesB , we're almost at the end of the event, when the Skin Packs will be available for sale? Will the event be extended? Given the number of bugs.

Waiting anxiously for your answer. Thank you

Someone said they emailed Klei and they said they are extending it. I have no reason not to believe that person

Same. Plus, we'll get spools made available for purchase before the event ends. Everyone should have plenty of time to get what they want before it's gone.
