[CU] Why Is ONI Doing All These 200M+ Updates?

That's sounds logical, but I wish Klei would announce them like with bugs.

They aren't.

But they did add in a whole bunch of super secret stuff. You can check it out over on my thread!

They did state in the last update and the one two updates before that that they were updating the sounds etc

For me, it changed with last patch.
I understand the need of logging, but what makes a preview worth playing it, when FPS drops to logging?
With every preview i start a new base, but i play survival and most times i don't installed/tested the new stuff, before it's added into standard branch.
Sure i can test it out in debug but that's no way realistic gaming experience.
Means i never can give feedback about new stuff, before added into stable branch.

Unfortunately I have to say that I also have a very poor performance with this update.

My colony with ~ 57 Dupes and on the day ~ 156 is unfortunately no longer playable. 8 FPS (strangely consistent). Day change save takes a while, load the game takes 5+ minutes and the calculation in the pipes is often wrong.

This time I have not started even with the plastic production, and I am far away to reach the top of the coment.
Can not wait to continue building and exploring in 1 1/2 weeks

Since more than one preview builds, now I play the game under Linux. And believe it or not, it's playable there on the fastest speed! No Lag if u draw the ghost buildings and similar things like under Windows. It's important to not use the devmode to reveal the map! Don't do it! If u must do it, save before, view the map and exit the game without saving the game. Rendering the whole map is not the way u want to go.

The guy with the 57 Dupes... Is he trolling ? In a normal game without the devmode logging, it will be horrible to play too.

No, that was meant seriously. In the previous patches it was no problem to have over 50 Dupes. (since the performance patch last year).

With the Ranch Mark 2 Update, it's no problem either
