Purpose of longhair slickster?

Recommended Posts

They got significantly high Decor, +50 for 7 Tiles which is really good. They breathe Oxygen so you can put it in the same living areas as duplicants, because they breathe half as much as a regular duplicant (50g/s) but they do not exrete any CO2

Still not super good because most of the time you get sufficient decor by simply having Metal Tiles or placing some paintings around. Also Snazzy Suits. But I assume you can negate Heavi-watt wire decor with them.

Where other types of Critter are meant to serve a dedicated purpose, the Longhair Slickster is meant to be something more along the lines of the (modern) average dog.  It's there to be cute and provide companionship.  Any further functions it provides are purely a bonus.

Note that if you just want them for decor there's no downside to making them Glum.

Aside from not having them procreate.

Well that explains the concept art.

You can still keep one happy for breeding purposes.

You could also just put a wild one in a room. Less O2 usage. Then let the eggs keep hatching. Though, you may have to start killing them once you get too many... (Free meat?)

That's a 0.02% chance though!
