SDragonhead
Doodlesssssss. Theyre supposed to be for some headcanons I wrote along with them. Spoiler The mime of the hour. A.J. Weston. Long time resident of France who cherished trips to other countries. Circa 1900-1910s. He was a student in France’s early institutes for sign language. French Indian. He doesn’t tell much about himself outside of hobbies and interests. Wes’ natural need of kindness and positive atmospheres could be the result of these untold secrets. And I done it for Willow as well. Spoiler Willow is a nice name. In fact, she picked it out herself. Willow is a tough nut to crack, it’s almost impossible to see her vulnerable side. It was almost farfetched to know she’s been in Girl Scouts because of experiences I’ve heard from people I knew, but in 1912 Girl Scouts was actually Good and had camping, first-aid, fern identifying, horse. Willow went there to show off and to help herself internally. Willow hates baths and any mention of anything sloppy because of the Dysphoria. She’ll just holler and you wouldn’t have the time to see her bounce off. When she arrived to the Constant, it was hellish of course but it was also kinda her new life or a late childhood. She doesn’t have a thought of going back to Earth because there would be nothing for her. She has a long lost half sibling, it’s hard to ever find out who that is...

I like you made his attire before he's all mimed up. keep it up a good work.
SDragonhead
Winston Pillsbury Spoiler Useless backstory I made up His parents of russian jew descent moved to america in the 1870s. Wilson is intersex, those wacky hormones of his is how he can get beards in a split. He’d always been homeschooled and nannied. Away from the horrors of life, somewhat. His love for science comes hand to hand with his transition to being a gentleman. During his time at grad school, hmm he wasn’t good in it at all. He’s smart but he’s incompetent, self-centered, pays attention to his personal work than academia, dysfunctional at worse and manic at best. Spent his remaining school funds on his own science which half the time he fails to complete. He doesn’t exactly have a lot going for him Waxwell is his worst ‘acquaintance’. He could work with him if it would benefit but it’s otherwise agonizing for Wilson to be around him. Entrapment aside, Waxwell’s personality just digs into the skin like Wilson’s beard fleas. So yea he’s a sad little man who likes the Science. Wurt time Spoiler She’s pretty bright and bratty, as expected for a curious baby. Her interest in stories is the best way to teach her and keep hold of memories. Stories was something that stayed in her mind as far back as she could remember. Her family was mermified but Wurt fell victim first, she was lucky enough to survive the slow transformation but it was still a fact of grievances for her parents who would later follow the same fate. Her mother read fairy tales as Wurt grew up to bestill that fact. Until eventually they couldn’t be around together with each other anymore, either due to loss of home or loss of sight on recognizing one other. I guess it’s good that Wurt is peacefully interacts as it’s just for the best for her to be amongst the others survivors or provide for her merm folk who may otherwise not compare to Wurt’s abilities.

Clownyshush
i may have said this before, but I love your style of colouring. it gives it an old storybook feeling, and i think it's very akin to watercolour. i also like the usage of pointillism in darker and more shaded areas. You're a expert at drawing derp expressions. On 2/15/2020 at 2:54 PM, SDragonhead said: More lauabout doodles but it looks like the effort in them really show how well you do it. #relatable. Kind of like that scene in the Hook, Line, and Inker trailer. Wilson is getting into his comfort. The chibi-ness in this has a Charles Shultz flavor but I can tell you had fun drawing this. The simple cartoon flavor with showing Wilson's favorite topic. Damn, Wurt is really cute here. She just seems so happy in her medium. Wouldn't be surprised if Wendy becomes a doodle partner. The scope of this piece feels reminiscent of soviet posters. There is a air of foreboding and fits the precursor to the destruction of the Hamlet. Always love your take on the gnaw. Again, a master at drawing derp faces. Gets me every time. On 4/3/2020 at 6:00 PM, SDragonhead said: "domestic life" Where did the audio come from? These two should've just been one comic but I understand why the second one is a singular image. Emphasizing the confusion. Love how organic the pose is of the carrat. Do you have a rat in real life? That one has a lot of detail! Nice work with his pose. The tiny kittykit just adds a nice touch. It's really cute. You two did a great job working on this. I like how you added Wilson as a size comparison with the mech. Nice use of foreshortening. On 4/3/2020 at 11:57 PM, SDragonhead said: Nice work on these concepts. They fit the art style and the gnaw contrasts from the cutesy designs. On 4/6/2020 at 3:18 PM, SDragonhead said: Was this particular style based off the Uncle Wiggly books? I grew up with that book. I think I'm familiar with this style from the Don Blanding books my mother used to collect. I've seen a similar style at Mimi's cafe. All these older art inspired pieces hit me close to home. I follow blogs that just post illustrations or articles of anything old and I like to save images as drawing inspiration though I don't recall the sources of them but it definitely based on something. I remembered I never drew his forge skin before so I doodled it and also remember how for that skin the back of his head has those...shaved areas which always look like balding patterns to me. Also heres a random thing I made cuz I liked a song titled The Zookeeper's Awakening, or, the Remarkable Transgression After Hours At the Zoo (a Drinking Song for Animals)

Never heard of it before. Thank you. Looking at the example puts a lot more into context. I can see there's a bit of machismo in the Forge portrait and his poses in the trailer. So yeah, totally compensating for age.
