Bush Hat skins and camouflage

I want a bush hat skin that is a piece of cardboard with a bush drawn on it.

I pray Klei to never, never, never put skins that are useful in the game. For my experience with others games that done that before it's very bad for the ambiance of the game, with "you have to pay to play pvp" and others stuff like players making money selling skins because now you can't enjoy some part of the game without skin and randomness, and more people not playing but afk with godmode because they need of feel they need this to enjoy the game.

 

(Except if we are speaking of free skins that every player will have, not the random skin you can trade and obtain every week.)

I'm not against the idea of variant of the bush hat, just agaisnt the idea of making tradable skin useful.

That could happen, unless players are prevented from lighting bushes in the first place and if you had the harvest or examine in place of attack, so you wouldn't know whether it was a real bush or a bush hat. But then still, you would need to make players disguised as bushes diggable, which could work to get a player get out of their cover perhaps... or more amusingly, actually become a bush item and if someone takes them, they can plop out of their inventory and strike right away xD everyone would be paranoid about bushes, but it'd be hella fun!

Although, the bush hats might not be as effective in PvP at all, because both players will most times know that the other is there when they meet, especially since in DSt, you get information about other players loaded in, I guess they could make it so that other players' information loads gradually, based on how far you are, so like inventory from a certain range, animations from a certain range, etc. etc.

Damn, you're right. I guess it wouldn't be as useful as it might sound, but yeah, maybe they should just add them as a normal item, each with unique recipe.

Or! How about a hide'n'seek kind of mode? That would be fun and probably could be done as a mod.

Honestly, the PvP in this game is really bad and I don't see any good solutions to it. Even if you think about things like spyglass, footsteps, using a beefalo horn to hear distant players, those 'radio-stick things' screaming if someones near or an event that would require players to use compasses, the final fight is just based on previous luck, crafting as many armor, healing items as possible and running away. Idk

And what, you mean you _don't_ automatically go around attacking every bush you see?  Huh.

(Note:  I don't even play PvP and never will; this is just a stupid joke post.  : P  But I do like the idea of humourous "disguise" hats.  I would wear them in cooperative just to be silly.)

I'd rather have Juicy Berry Bush hats, as an actual item, not a skin. It's annoying when your world spawns with only Juicy Berry Bushes and you can't make any hats, except if you find a Guardian Pig set piece or something. I find those hats so handy, especially during hound attacks. I mean, you can just hide there and let your Wigfrid friend do all the fighting. 

But when you think about it... JBB hats would look pretty weird... I mean, they are pretty big and all...

Pff.  (cracks up)  Although, I was thinking one that looks like a normal berry bush, but like, you can see that it's got like a little stand behind it holding it up?  I guess it'd look like a berry bush but at kind of an angle so you can _see_ the stand, and its edges, and how it's only like an inch thick.  So, basically like a old-fashioned prop in a stageplay.
