Could Mods Hinder the Chances of Getting Presents?

Recommended Posts

The glorious hamster from on high dictates who gets what... praise be unto him...

Charlie's horning in on the market as well... and then there's the devs who secretly pull pranks on idlers... (jk... or is it? O__O)

*shrugs*

I don't think so, it's really just random, so just pray to RNGesus... but if you want to stretch it (well, I want to, so here goes)...

Random number generators and getting skins is like a big physics experiment... here comes some quantum mechanics... observing a particle might change it's behavior... or just call it the observer effect... having something that you think might affect it might actually work... or not... *shrugs*

While quantum mechanics is in play in my little rant, I would say that I had better drops back home in the country than here in the city for some reason... a lot of interference (I laugh, quantum physics is basically magic XD)...

I hope my crazy rant provided some... something :T

Freaking god mode doesn't stop you from getting presents but mods would? Naah.

Could a really screwy mod screw up your ability to get presents? In theory. Do we penalize you for running mods? Absolutely not! Klei loves modders.

"In theory" means someone's gotta try it. Brb.

Just kidding.

I could maybe see messing that up with maybe a string like, oh, I don't know...

inst:RemoveComponent("giftreciever")

Since I see things pertaining to the wardrobe in giftreciever.lua

@FaeLove your question used to be a superstition of mine lol. But nah. Your mod characters will receive pleated shirts all the same.

You could also mess with science machines and whatnot. Or with HUD. Huehue

Always Elegant mod

Oh, this was a thing at one point. Of course, it didn't actually give you the item, and actually had more of a high chance to just give you white gloves instead, but with enough typing, you could make it -appear- to give you an elegant gift.

Good crashy times.

O, the recesses of the Internet...

Why do I think there must have been a Rule 34 version of this? My faith in humanity is the way it is, egad.
