The Charleston definitely needs to be a thing--it totally fits the time period, and I do believe the spring music in RoG qualifies as one already, beat...pattern?-wise.  (That or really early jazz.)  Not to mention it would be ADORABLE as all get-out.

Also JAZZ-HANDS!  : P  (Am I the only one who immediately thinks "Mammy!" whenever they see a skeleton in that one on-the-knees, hands-out pose? Heh.)

...but, um..ya MIGHT wanna take down the link to that video, Minespatch.  Yeah.

Oh, that's adorable.  :)  And I never have managed to figure out how the heck you do that knee thing...which they actually didn't do in this video.  Huh.  But you know what I mean--put your hands on your knees, move your knees together and apart, and somehow your hands cross over each other while doing this without moving them from their positions.  That is like, THE famous Charleston move.

Also somebody better at Photoshop/fanart than me NEEDS to make an animated gif/meme of Maxwell and Wilson as flappers doing this next to each other.  This needs to happen.  (laugh)

(The girls?  None of them have hair short enough for a flapper! ;))

Here you go

Oh, I know what it looks like.  I just can't DO it.  : P And I've seen somebody physically do the whole dance right in front of me--one of my friends dressed up as a flapper for Halloween once, and of COURSE she learned the dance to go with it.  :)

Also WHOO, HOMESTAR!  I miss that site...I mean, I miss when they used to actually make stuff more than once a year.

Good god, I just realised--that site is so old that some of the people here _might not have been born yet_ when it first went up.  BRB, cleaning my dentures.

How about instead of elegant emotes, we just have emote skins in a whole other category? There needs to be 2 in particular for /dance if this were the case.

yea when I suggested it I didn't mean it to be grouped by "collections" but now that I think about it, its mostly dance that would be good for a change

You know what we REALLY need, emote-wise?

Individual dances _that fit each character_.  That, would be perfect.  I'm not sure who would do what, but, say, Maxwell could be sorta elegant/old-fashioned, Wilson could be a bit of a dork, Wigfrid could "dance" with heavy, violent moves...you get the idea.  :)

To be honest what we really need visual wise is indication to when a player is starving/freezing/overheating and actually taking damage.

the current indicators for yourself are okay since you see the entire screen freeze/heating etc but for others it just seem like the usual  stomach rumble animation, like, that's not enough. Others need to see some visual indication that the other player's character  is in pain since they are LITERALLY DYING RIGHT NOW!

For freezing you can show skin turning blue with ice over it and for overheating you can show skin getting tanned and just bubbling boiling.

I think we need indication in general and not just when things happen, for example if a player is low on hunger then have his face be skinny. And what about indication for when someone is crafting something? to others it just looks like hes AFK , if whenever you scroll through the crafting tabs your character get a sort of 'thinking animation' or looking through blueprints, more things like this to make the player interaction less robotic and polish.

Ya know kinda like this, we can even reuse this one :p

Then we can move on to individual exclusive character animations such as individual idle animation and taunts, Wilson mixing lab test tubes, Willow lighting grass strand on fire and giggling, Wolfgang flexing etc.

You already turn kinda blue, but only when hit by a "freezing" attack that wasn't cold enough to freeze you I believe. and When crafting I think you do the same animation as harvesting

Yeah but i mean when your scrolling through the crafting menu you don't seem like your doing anything until the crafting process it self.

And i guess you can have the same blue filter as if you were attacked from an ice attack whenever you were freezing, but i think actually having the character's texture/sprite change with more details is a better idea.

Sure, no reason not to, really.  We already have skins for firepits, torches, backpacks, etc.

They teased Samurai Wigfrid concept art w/ a skin for both the battle helmet and battle spear.

I say go for it.  The more skins, the merrier!

Skins for more items could work. A skin for Maxwell's coat for Puffy Vest or Hibearnation vest, a special Shadow variation of the Garland making them Evil Flowers, skins for Endothermics. In my opinion, I'd like this.
