Same thing happened to me once. Except instead of lightning hitting a pig skin it was a meteor hitting a spark ark

Edit: Since some people seem to be confused, here's an explanation: In Terraria after you defeat the Wall of Flesh, hardmode will start. No ifs or buts. In dst, however, after you defeat a shard's respective boss, an NPC will appear, asking for symbolical donation. Then a warning message will pop-up asking you if you are really sure about this and only then will the rifts activate. That very much isn't uncompromising
