Sometimes if I want to get something done or be somewhere before morning I'll just keep going, but I don't like using the miner's helmet on the surface too much cuz fireflies don't respawn. I usually end up doing rote tasks at night, like making salve or rope or whatever. In the winter I'll go out and catch more fireflies. I'm usually on the run so I set up in the middle of resources such as trees, stones or twigs. Also do the cooking and inventory management at night.
